As far as I know, Asus gives 2 or 3 year warranties for their laptops so you might want to check out if you are still covered.

If you are comfortable with opening up a laptop chasis, you can take off the plate cover or bezel of your keyboard to expose the keys and check if the ribbon is connected securely. You can also check if the membrane underneath is properly aligned to the contacts. There should be a number of video tutprials available on the net if you are willing to go the DIY route.

in case out of warranty na unit mo and you dont want to open your laptop by yourself, try hottoyzph.com. Had them replace a lcd screen for a toshiba laptop 2 years ago and its still working fine. Cant remmeber how much they charged but it was a whole lot cheaper than what Toshiba wanted.

    Parang overpriced ng 30%.

Have you tried visiting Gilmore (the mini-mall with Shakey's at the ground floor)? There are lots of shops there that can service your laptop there. You can do price comparison before commiting.

There is one shop at the 3rd floor which does repair of laptops only.

There is another at the second floor (I think). Avoid the booth beside the stairs, he tends to overcharge as well.
