I kinda have three UPS units, two are running my PCs (two linked together in a home LAN).

The third UPS is attached to my TV, VHS, DVD system. Its also attached to a room fan. Reason is my VHS clock resets whenever power goes out and I might like to get cool if the power does go out when I am home.

I'm also thinking of installing UPS backup into my house lighting system instead of using those ugly standby emergency lights. Hmmmmm :confused:

Tignan ko na lang din dun bukas yung UPS nila.

I'm using a "GIANT" brand UPS. The unit looks like an encyclopedia and colored grey with two power sockets on the side. Power switch is a button in front. So far its pretty good for a relatively cheap price...

may naka experience na ba sa inyo na bumagal ung isang ide slot sa motherboard? sa akin biglang bumagal na lang ung primary ide slot. pag nakalagay don ung hd ko mabagal siya mag boot. o kaya may second hd na don nakalagay mabagal talaga. pero pag hindi naman sa primary ide slot nakalagay ok naman siya. mabilis naman.

i think something's wrong with your mobo. ewan ko lang, try relflashing your bios.

duda ko din sa mobo na talaga. kaso natatakot ako mag flash. hindi ako marunong e, baka mamaya hindi ko maibalik sa dati mawalan pa ko ng mobo. hehehe. salamat na lang.

Depends on the brand of your mobo. I used to be afraid of flashing the bios pero madali lang naman.

may winflash utility ang ecs kaya puwede mo na i-flash yung bios mo in windows.

I got no problem flashing BIOS with Intel Brand MOBO, they have a windows based utility. Don't know with other brand.

*LAKANDULI, I had a PC bulit for my Dad last weekend. I spent P18k++ w/o Monitor. Decent rig but nothing spectacular. Basically a Barton 2500+, KM400, 256DDR400, FX5200....


Just in your price range...

PK: For 15K ano pwede mo i-assemble? Including monitor nadin kahit 15" lang.

Requirement ko lang may CD-R, good video card...

veed, sorry to disappoint you but 15k will get you a very very basic pc with an onboard vidcard (not ok).... and that probably wont even include a monitor.

a respectable pc inclusive of monitor would set you back around 23k.

This would get you an AMD Barton 2500+ (good)

a low end mobo (Via KM400) with onboard sound (oks lang naman), a 40GB 7200 rpm (good), CD rom, floppy, casing, kb and mouse and a 15" monitor. Graphics for something like this is usually provided by a GeForce FX5200 (ok lang)

Ive seen some sub 15k rigs in the pricelists pero i m not too familiar with the specs.... and i doubt if they have monitors included.
