Anyone still download MP3s??

I haven't downloaded anything for about a month now :lol: Ever since RIAA (Recording Industry Assoc. of America) started its campaign agaisnt the users. They fined a 12 year old girl $2,000 for DLing and another 19 year old $12,000. Anything like this going on in the Philippines? I might just start buying CDs again :lol: :lol: :freak:

even if your using Prepaid you could still be traced.
If ever you download something, it has to be from someone else's phone, not yours. So the trace would end.
Either that or you use a Prepaid cellphone. Then that would be harder. But that of course would be more expensive on your end.

I doubt it would reach Manila for quite a while anyway (as mikiline says, corruption would probably hinder any RIAA action). You'd be a lot more scared to do it here in the states than back home. Dang, a 12 year old girl got fined for downloading "Barney songs" and other childrens songs. Lang takas... If they really wanna catch you, they will.

yang lintek na RIAA na yan kung bakit downloading ang sinasabing problema eh. eh kung byaran kasi nila yung mga big time star na gaya nila mariah carey, michael jackson whitney houston and celine dion, to name a few eh napakamamahal. eh yung mga latest albums nila eh meager sales lang naman ang resulta. everybody will admit that manufacturing cd's is more economical than vinyls and tapes but their prices have not gone down.

diba yung ip add ma te-trace lang sa ISP? how can they trace it to individuals when IP addresses are server assigned.

You mean proxy server address? Ala mo pwede sa browser paganahin but you cannot connnect to any mp3 server facility.

That's what I tried before, unless may mali sa ginawa ko. Correct me if I'm wrong peeps. :D

baka pwede i-trace kung kanino na assign yung IP during a certain time.

AFAIK parang Bank Secrecy Law ito sa mga ISP na kailangan pa ng Court Order (ata?) para ibigay ang specific IP ad.

Pero kapag nasa Pinas ka eh useless din yung RIAA thingie na yan.

So tuloy pa rin yung download!!!
