By the way, one of the most recommended cans is Audio Technica ATH-M50, latest model have an X suffix. The ATH-M50X has a replaceable cable while the older model doesn't. This model is value for money. Sound, they say, is close to neutral with a tinge of warmth.

The ATH-M40X, on most review, is really neutral. A good choice if you want pure monitor. It's also cheaper than the ATH-M50X.

You think its good for symphonic metal? I currently have Grado Sr80i for home, it's a bit mid forward so it's great for guitar riffs and vocals like bossa. And soundmagic e10s iem for office use.

Im looking to either buy audio technica im70 for iem or audio technica m50x headphone.

I somewhat prefer open back for the soundstage but I mostly use the good ole M50 for mixing and cleaning recordings. There are just some sounds I miss when I'm using open back.

Haven't auditioned Audio Technica yet, kung may stock Astro Vision baka pwede subukan doon. I don’t buy any headphones without auditioning them first. Pero ok talaga halos lahat ng review for ATH-M50X. It's sound as good or even better than the more expensive cans out their according to owners of this from headfi forum.

If you visit Singapore, Stereo store have most of the high-end iem and cans. They have a branch in Plaza Singapura and Causeway Point. They encourage auditioning these units, and it's ok to audition them even if you're not interested in buying. Testing the various iem is what convinced me to invest on them. Sound difference is night and day. Sarap makinig ng high fidelity sound, I didn't know there were a lot I was missing. With a good iem or headphone you can hear the fingers moving through the guitar. You can hear the singer draw their breath when they sing. Sabi nga sa mga audiophile review they can't believe that their iem can sound as good as their 10k dollar speakers. Good value for money.

I went for Ultimate Ears, they weren't bought by Logitech yet at that time, because they were the only one of the few back then that has replaceable cable. The other one with a replaceable cable was Westone. I'm not forking out a significant amount which will be thrown away when the cable breaks.

Any headphone/earphones enthusiasts here?
