a lot of cars were showing how bad their tire wear was during the last few laps. massa, schumi & kimi overshot the same corner.

in the beginning of the race, the barichello & button showdown was exciting. it seems that both bar-honda cars wasn't properly prepped up for the race (understeer).

it was also the same with schumi. he reported that the car was understeering.

I think it was irresponsible for McLaren not to call Kimi to the pits and have a tire change and instead compromised his safety. But then again, they were living at the edge and decided for "all or nothing". Kimi blew his suspension spectacularly. It may look awesome on TV, but that was one dangerous call from McLaren. Kimi could have rolled, he could have been hit by his front right wheel and gotten killed. And he nearly took out Jenson Button in the BAR-Honda by a few inches! Give Kimi 10 points for being the Iceman till the end, but overall, it was an unsafe call by McLaren.

Kung tinamaan ni Kimi si Button during his crash, the race would most likely have been stopped which means Kimi would have won the race :-)

Sayang for Kimi. What a disappointment! I was able to watch the race(on TV, he he he) yesterday. The distance between his opponents is sure of winning the race but Kimi and his team took that risk.

mid-race tire changes have already been disallowed - and is only allowed should the tire be punctured or damaged.

what caused the suspension breakdown is a bad tire spot (from braking or spinning).

Actually, McLaren qualified for a tire change, as Ron Dennis has mentioned during the post-race interview. In fact, they discussed this with Kimi on the radio for some time, but in the end they ultimately decided for the Iceman to take the risk and go for the win. Sadly, Kimi's effort was 3 kilometers short.

Ganon ba? So, Kimi and his team are helpless that time and just waited for whatever the outcome may be.

    Sayang talaga.
