I was watching CNN awhile ago to get an update of what's happening in Iraq. Mayroon silang live footage ng advancing troops(US 7th Cavalry) moving through Southern Iraq towards Baghdad. Hehehehehe

modelo na ung di turbo....the 1st series of military humvee were not yet turbo...you can get one (running and restored to civilian use) at P1.5M negotiable.

D pa nga lang ako nakakita ng humvee na hinarass sa off-road competition like the Rainforest Race sa Malaysia or kahit sa lahar race like the one sponsored by PORCI.

owning an M998 is very difficult i mean registering to the department of motor vehicles, and its costly to maintain, the M998 HMMWV (humvee) is a head turner specially if driven by a civilian not with that como color, its one hell of a ride, suspension is not that good compared to the civilian hummer, the ride is so bumpy and seats are not comfortable, the seats are just like folding seats, the dash board is all metal, thats why dept of transportation here in US did not certify M998 fit for civilian use bec of safety reason but you can own one, only if you will sign a release from from the US dept of defense, i cant remember that form number, M998's are sold via government auction or an accredited broker and these are in very good condition and still you can use them as long as you meet the standards set by your state where you live in. there's no problem taking a humvee to the extreme, its proven and tested from the freezing cold of antartica to the boiling weather in africa to the tropical jungle of the amazons BUT there is one big glitch of these famous M998..the APCB(advanced protective control box) that regulates the 8 glow plugs. the original APCB installed toast the glow plugs if heated for 9 seconds, it will heat the glow plugs to the point of making the tip like a mushroom head making it more difficult to remove and will take time and effort fixing the problem.now thw army or AM General fixed the problem and they produced a new APCB that has a better sensor which will cost you around 500 to 700 dollars. we have a 1987 M998 and i'll tell you its cool. here the specs
