Pinasok yun tambucho nya ng tubig kaya tumirik yan, that is another point of entry the owner of this car overlooked

Dapat nakasnorkel din yung tambucho para hindi napapasukan ng tubig

As long as the engine is kept running, water can’t enter the exhaust pipe.

The Defender could have stalled for any number of reasons. It could be driver error, a leak in the intake, or something else. We can only speculate. But if the Defender was designed properly and the driver was properly trained or mentally prepared for it, it should be able to handle that flood.

^well water seeks its own level, thats pretty basic

As flood water gets higher that engine needs to run harder to keep that engine blowing the water out thru the exhaust pipe

That requires the driver to maintain a certain pressure to keep the water out. As water gets higher the deeper water exerts more pressure to enter the exhaust pipe seeking a higher level

Even if that vehicle survived that part of Q. Ave - G. Araneta, that car won't be running by the time it reaches the corner of G. Araneta-Maria Clara.
Just imagine lubog mga gasoline pumps sa Shell Maria Clara tapos dun pa sila dadaan???

Saw this on James Deakin's page where he shared the Defender video.
"according to the Defender 110 owner, the road unexpectedly dipped and water was deeper than expected. it stalled because the low gear strangely popped out. driver and passenger are fine; the Defender 110 is getting fixed and is expected to be running asap. 😁

    it's never over in a rover! 😎
-From Land Rover Club of the Philippines - LRCP"

Can someone please enlighten me as to how a gear pops out?

Baka pinasok na ng tubig yung transmission nya.. or defective yung tranmission talaga..

May transmission talaga na pag sira yung locking mechanism (forgot the term) eh nag pop out yun gear commonly sa 1st gear kasi yun yung gear na pinaka madalas magamit.. need mo hold in place yung kambyo para di mag pop out

So even with a snorkel, still not a guarantee that it can wade thru that kind of flood? Eh bakit pa nag snorkel?

Isip ko kasi kapag may snorkel, hanggang hindi lumulubog yun, walang tirik
