Nice to see McLaren back in the podium. Not sure now who has the faster pace. One thing though, the rest of the season is going to be more exciting.

Forsa Ferrari as a team is impressive but I have doubts on Schumy. Is he better than Senna or Fangio? Debatable. Put him on a Minardi, and if he still wins, that's impressive.

Were senna and fangio driving minardi equivalents? I don't think so. To actually compare the three who raced in different eras is unfair to say the least.

schumacher was ahead of raikonnen with no need to pit anymore. so if the race went normally without any safety car, raikonnen would have had to pit and so shumacher would be ahead by at least 15 seconds (total pit time including slow down and start up).

granted, the maclaren might be the faster car but when raikonen made his first pitstop, shumacher made 3 or 4 straight fastest laps with a clear track ahead of him.

i think the advantage of schumacher and ferrari is that they know exactly what their car is capable of and plan their race accordingly. a few races ago, they said that they knew they had no chance to get pole position, and so they changed their strategy accordingly and went on to win.

maybe when mclaren have more time with their new car, they can start to do this as well.

also don't forget that the bridgestone tires where doing pretty well during long stints making schumacher's strategy work.

kimi's opening laps were crazy! putting 3 secs between him and rubens in a few laps....now that's pace.

it was mostly due to the michelins working better than the bridgestones for the first few laps. if the 2 backmarkers were not in front of kimi after the safety car went back to the pits, he could have had the opportunity to give a go at shumacher at some point.

hope we get more racing for the remainder of the season!

logbook, tama ka, yung michelin mabilis mag warm up pero mabilis din maupod. the Ferrari team were smart enough to recognize that and plan their strategy accordingly, as luckytruck said.

And Schumy implemented the strategy to perfection.
