Who do you think will win the WDC?

Btw, the last 3 races with Alonso and Schumi's finishing records the past 2 seasons are:

    China
    Alonso 2004 finished 4th
    2005 finished 1st
    Schumi 2004 finished 12th
    2005 DNF

    Japan
    Alonso 2004 finished 5th
    2005 finished 3rd
    Schumi 2004 finished 1st
    2005 finished 7th

    Brazil
    Alonso 2004 finished 4th
    2005 finished 3rd
    Schumi 2004 finished 7th
    2005 finished 4th

6 races.. once lang mas mataas finish ni schumi kay alonso. sana ganito din this year!
    sana si Alonso manalo.

I'm for Michael. Time and time again, he has proven what he's worth. He's a more complete package for a world champion, imo.

Alonso is also no slouch himself, being able to keep up or defend his position when called for. But this guy's attitude, behavior, and conduct really sucks! He is a big time moaner, extremely poor loser, and has a really short fuse (recite after me: "WOO-SHAH) and attitude problem. All his antics makes me cringe at the thought of the kind of a world champion he would be if he ever clinches it again in the future. Remember, the championship is not about just winning or skills on track, but rather in off-track, the drivers informally serves as a goodwill ambassador for the sport which is why behavior, conduct and reputation (on track and off-track) are very important, imo. I have never seen a driver wave his fists in the air in anger so many times in F1.

OT: Mas gusto ko pa si Ice Cold Kimi Raikonnen, kaysa si Curly Moaner Alonso... hehehe

Schumi may have some problems in China pero in Suzuka??? jan nga matinik si Schumi e... Brasil... hmm... Massa may win...

So it will be a convincing Constructor's Championship for Ferrari and down to the wire victory by Schumi in the Driver's Championship!

hehe baka kaya di madalas makita si schumi waving his fists in anger because siya usually yung gumagawa ng mga cheap moves (usually in front or behind of alonso)

my vote goes to schumi though... ang boring kasi mag race ni alonso eh. that doesnt necessarilly mean he's not a good driver, i just dont find him as entertaining

^Alonso's on track fist shaking has nothing to do with Schumi. Usually it is the other drivers on track that caused him to get angry. Remember, Monaco '04 with Ralf?, how about with Doornbos in Hungary's friday practice?, etc..

who do i want to win? Alonso

who do i think will win? Schumacher

over the history of sport there have been a handful of sportsmen that, when they really want/need to, rise up and just exert their will on the sport. MJ for basketball, Lance Armstrong in cycling, Muhammad Ali in boxing....Schumacher is one of those guys. he doesn't win every championship, but he always makes a strong run for it and always picks up his performance when the stakes are high. this might be his biggest opportunity to add to his legend - a final opportunity to make a dramatic come-from-behind season championship, one last chance to stand at the top of the podium and remind all of us who's the greatest ever, and a rare opportunity to leave on top and on his own terms. i wouldn't bet against him.

besides, mas aerodynamic yung baba niya so he has an advantage there :bwahaha:

The team of Alonso-Renault is championship caliber this year.

However, I think that MS will win the driver's championship. Again, I have not seen his magic for a long time... The last 3 races should be high time to show them all... Go Schumi!

    For next year? -> KR-Ferrari.

FA is dumbstruct to have made that bad switch to McLaren-Mercedes. KR on the other hand needs to improve on his speech. Maybe, because of too much bar-bouncing?.... hehehe

    This should be a poll.

Mathematically, both can still win in points. They can even finish with the same total points at the end. The minimum for Schumacher to win on points is if he finishes ahead of Alonso in the three races. He doesn't even need to be on the podium. But I guess nothing is absolutely predictable.

We can't take Schumi's 2005 results because the car wasn't as good. I suppose we can take Alonso's 05 results. But Schumi's performance is a wildcard.

I agree! but I still think Alonso will win the WDC. The pace of Ferrari and Renault is almost the same and Alonso is also a great driver.

If not for Alonso's engine blowout he could have finished 3rd, if not for the penalty (which is absurd) he could have finished 2nd at Monza.

Unless Renault's car started having gremlins, I firmly believe that Alonso will be on the podium in the coming last 3 race, not necessarily winning them, but he will be on the podium.

My money is on Alonso, but I still want Schumi to end his career as a champion, dirty tactics and all

decided na daw yung FIA na ipanalo si Schumi. +10 grid penalty kay FA due to his constant whining.

and what about the hungarian gp when alonso lapped schumacher? i distinctly recall FA giving schumi the finger because the latter was ignoring the flags telling him to let alonso through

What I said isnt absolute, but rather I relay what I remember seeing when I watch the race on tv or read about from the net. And no, I'm not selectively remembering things. However, its good you point out more of Alonso's "unsporting" behavior on track, since it only validates what I said earlier about Alonso having a short fuse along with his growing notoriety for poor conduct.

Alonso or Schumi?
