Wow, I just got back. ( I was out of town for the Holidays). Hamilton and Kovaleinen just got penalized for obstructing the other drivers! Did anybody watch the qualifying today?
I wonder how that happened. And I ask that with no sarcasm. Im just wondering how two drivers can be penalized for obstruction. I mean Hamilton or Kovaleinen, yeah sure... But both?
Two drivers obstructing means they have to have some cooperation to do so... Ergo, significant planning and preparation. Right??

Kovalainen, Hamilton to lose five grid places
McLaren drivers Heikki Kovalainen and Lewis Hamilton will each drop five places on the grid for Sunday’s Malaysian Grand Prix after stewards decided they had blocked rival drivers in the closing stages in qualifying. They will now start the race eighth and ninth respectively.
Kovalainen and Hamilton were called before the stewards after suggestions that BMW Sauber’s Nick Heidfeld and Renault’s Fernando Alonso were impeded during their final Q3 runs, when the McLaren drivers were conserving fuel on slowing-down laps, both having completed their final runs.
"The first corners of my last lap went smoothly, but then there were several cars driving very slowly on their in-laps,” said Heidfeld, who qualified seventh, but will now start fifth. “Apparently they had no information that the qualifying was still going on. Before Turn Four I lost a lot of time because both McLarens were cruising on the racing line.
“I think this has cost me about two tenths of a second, which would have meant being third instead of seventh. I just couldn't drive on the line I wanted and, even more importantly, could not brake were I wanted.”
McLaren are not expected to appeal the decision, which means row two on the grid will now be formed by the Toyota of Jarno Trulli and BMW Sauber’s Robert Kubica. Red Bull’s Mark Webber moves up to P6 to join Heidfeld on the third row, while Alonso moves up from P9 to P7.
Tough luck! Very good opportunity for the Ferraris to strike back....
FM was obviously running on low fuel as he is half-a-second faster than KR....

during Q3 umuulan na dito sa KL. pag umulan bukas exciting race na naman ito tapos wala pang traction control. GO kimi![]()
What time is the race again? Its already 2:00 PM and there still nothing on...
It could be a mechanical problem, but from where I am sitting, arguably, it looks like FM made another fool of himself by spinning and having his podium-ready car gravel-trapped...
IMO, another victim of the ban on traction control.....

1. KR - flawless drive
2. RK - duplicating his feat in Canada last year!
3. HK - first podium finish?
4. JT - Toyota is well ahead of Honda,- great drive
5. LH - victim of his right front tyre issue during the pitstop
6. NH - BMW is indeed in contention this year
7. MW - lucky enough that his engine didn't blow up...
8. FA - misfortune of driving a non-competitive car... Flavio?
Where is FM? - dream on! Still zilch after 2 races. Big disappointment!

Impressive showing for Toyota.
Barichello penalized for speeding in the pitlane (again).
Beside Massa spinning off and Mclaren Pit Stop blunder, the race was another ho-hum...zzzzzz.
yup..... dozed off many times kanina.... hahaha.... pag nakahiga manood nga naman....
buti na lang ginigising ako ng labrador ko.... naunahan na daw ni Kimi si Massa... hahaha
Did I hear it right yesterday when one of the commentators said that SV is being groomed to be in a Ferrari next year? Remember that he is a German, MS personally recommended him to his current team and he(MS) can still pull strings from his old team.
With the way FM is performing this season, he'd better watch out. He can't let his heart rule over his head. Else, he'll be out of this team sooner than he expected.
He will be a nobody outside of Ferrari (look or don't look at RB.....) ....![]()

Yung manager ni FM is the son of the former team principal Jean Todt. Since wala na si Todt, sitting duck na si FM. Sabi FM na kasalanan daw ng kotse kaya nag spin, yeah right...
Felipe Massa on Sunday did not take the blame for his retirement from the Malaysian Grand Prix.
The pole-sitter, who had fallen behind his team-mate and eventual Grand Prix winner Kimi Raikkonen through the first round of pit stops at Sepang, mysteriously spun into the gravel around mid-distance.
"I don't know what happened, I just lost the car completely," he was quoted as explaining to the British broadcaster ITV.
"There was strange behaviour on the rear, so I don't know," the Brazilian added.
Massa's second retirement of the season means that while 11 drivers have scored points in the opening two races, the 26-year-old is now 14 points behind championship leader Lewis Hamilton.

Yup, its the car's fault. It no longer has traction control."I don't know what happened, I just lost the car completely," he was quoted as explaining to the British broadcaster ITV.
But seriuosly werent people heaping praise on him last year? He's probably just in a rut. Remember both KM and FM DNF'ed in Australia. And its just the second race. Lets see his performance in Bahrain.
Correct ka dyan bro. JT was a staunch supporter of FM because of those relations. Just speculating here,- FA could have been with Ferrari this year were it not for his earlier encounter with JT. Hhmmmm, could this be a "reason" why Ferrari retired their CEO?.....
Kaya nga FM has to watch out..... A couple of race incidences (spin and with DC) in Australia, and his spin in Malaysia,- from what looks like point-scoring positions will not sink well with his Italian team....
