In the Bible, God says it is fine to Sell your Daughter as a *** SLAVE:

"When a man sells his daughter as a slave, she will not be freed at the end of six years as the men are. If she does not please the man who bought her, he may allow her to be bought back again." Exodus 21:7.

Is is fine to TORTURE those who serve you, as long as they don't DIE:

"When a man strikes his male or female slave with a rod so hard that the slave dies under his hand, he shall be punished. If, however, the slave survives for a day or two, he is not to be punished, since the slave is his own property." Exodus 21:20

In the Koran, God says it is your duty to AMBUSH and KILL non-believers of Allah, so the 9/11 Terrorists were just doing their Duty:

"Kill those who join other gods wherever you find them, and seize them, beleaguer them and lie in wait for them with every kind of ambush." Sura 9:5

BWAHAHAHA!!! Ganun din mga mahilig mag-QUOTE ng Bible.

Pag na-Tameme na, "You can't take the Bible literally". EK EK.

Pati mga pari ganun din. PALUSOT TSK TSK

The TRUTH is, these people will quote the Bible only if it suits their purpose

Religious people during these cases/scenario place their fate to god or any supreme being. Why? Most of the time, they simply gave-up or surrendered to their problem and ask for supernatural solution. But in reality, during their "prayer", they were enlightened and their mind was opened to accept and solve their problems.

It is just the same thing with people that are non-believers.
Yep tama ka enlightenment ang natatanggap ng tao during prayer kasi sometimes when we learn to accept defeat and be humble that is the time na lumalakas tayo kasi we learn what our limitations are and from there we find a new solution. If others don't want to attribute it to a more superior being guiding us then so be it but for me i choose to believe in God. Because I would like to believe that at the end of our lives there's more in store for me.

You can choose to believe in God, that is not a problem. But do not be limited and BLINDLY follow what your religion tells you. That is where the Abuse starts. Just take a good look at Human History

God gave us the most powerful Personal Computer, a.k.a our Brain, plus FREE WILL for a very good reason. To be able to decide for ourselves what is truly right.

That's what religion promises you. As in all faiths, there's a better life or reward in death.

I left this thread alone for several days and its already turning to the dogs. Tamang tama, nasa Manila ngayon si TS. :D

Any thread that has religion and politics is bound to get ugly at one time or another. This usually happens when overzealous fans join in.

I studied in a Catholic school but they did not nurture us to be close minded that Religion is everything; we had schoolmates who practiced other Religions but they were never treated differently, just understand the lesson, pass your subjects and you'll move on with your life. Theology in HS and college always tried to encourage healthy debates. For me, Religion is always there to guide us and to lead us to help others. When the the chips are down, yes it is there to help you regroup but ultimately, it is still you that will decide on where to go and what to do. Nothing more, nothing less.

What Will Be The Difference In Our Lives If We Dont Believe In God?
