i read somewhere that the Chinese people were taught that the WPS was theirs, right when they were still kids, so they grow up with the notion that it's really theirs -- nothing quite like propaganda eh?. Plus, it's not in their best interest to say or think otherwise -- baka ipakulong pa sila for libel or some b.s. charge, plus sipsep pa sa government.


And you never know, the guy who organized the "protests" could be G-men in plainclothes, stirring the pot to make it seem like there's real ground level support when the typical Chinese is too preoccupied trying to make a living because their government is scr*wing up.

Yes, this is also what I heard. The reason I'm asking is because I just got into a small debate in fb with a Chinese about the issue. His logic is all over the place and he didn't even know that historical claim as the stand of his country.

Yes, that true that they were taught since they were young that the wps is theirs, my dad who is now 86 years old told me when wps issue was heating up a few years back that when he was still young and studying in grade school back then in China, they were already taught in their history subject that wps was theirs, it has something to do daw sa mga chinese who used to travel by sea, sorry, i didnt get all the details hahahahha, mahina ako sa history.

If the futures are embraced by overseas investors and become a benchmark for global oil transactions, China’s hoping the yuan could challenge the dominance of the greenback in international trade. Still, skeptics say that won’t happen as long as the currency is controlled by the central government, and while international traders may agree to settle contracts converted into yuan, they’ll continue to price the oil in dollars.
