    let's say Trump gets impeached

there will be violence and the police/military will need to restore order

worst case -- members of police/military take sides

there are trumpists within law enforcement and the military

if they take sides, there will be civil war

and the world totally loses confidence in the US

.....and the global economy goes down to unprecedented levels as well?

Is there a possibility of a worldwide conflict? Geez, I certainly hope not.

What this POTUS is doing is unprecedented. This "stable genius" doesn't deserve the office... not in a million years. I hope his camp realize this.
The left has been committing sedition ever since Hillary lost in 2016. But, because free speech takes precedence, they didn't get prosecuted or even jailed...and neither will Trump.

When Trump is impeached, Mike Pence, obviously also towing the GOP line, becomes POTUS.

When the dust settles, Republicans still have control of both Executive and Senate. I doubt a civil war can erupt.

Although, some militia groups supportive of Trump might cause some trouble, but I think it's just going to be more of an isolated thing if that does happen.

The House has a DNC majority. They can vote to activate the impeachment process. But, the move will die in the Senate where the GOP has a majority. The impeachment will require the support of at least 2/3 of the Senate. That's unlikely to happen, esp with what flimsy evidence there is already being questioned under closer scrutiny. There won't be any impeachment.

I was puzzled at first on why the DNC is willing to destroy itself by relentlessly going after Trump. Then I remembered Trump used to be one of them. He was a registered Democrat. I guess they don't like one of their own turning traitor on them. Oh well.

Nah, I don't think the DNC is that shallow. They tried to hold out on impeachment (at least Nancy Pelosi did) until they had hard proof. All the things Trump did before that were despicable, but not quite impeachable. So when the transcripts of the Ukraine call was released by the WH, and even before they got the whistleblower report, the Speaker thought it was the time to move forward with impeachment. The whistleblower report only corroborated the WH transcripts.

It's too early to tell if the GOP-majority Senate will ever arrive to a realization that enough is enough on Trump. They might just vote to impeach if public opinion further sways towards Trump's removal, so as not to jeopardize their own chances at reelection.

There's has been a lot of infighting between old-school Democrats and progressives. They're a fractured mess with Pelosi in constant danger of being superseded by the progressives who want Trump removed at any cost. In fact, they don't like the freshman Democrat from my state (AZ) because she's "not progressive enough." But, if she goes any farther left, AZ voters will remove her in 2020.

There is no first-hand account witnessed by the "whistleblower." There have already been officials from Ukraine who were under oath and disputed key points reported by the mass media and Adam Schiff. The latter was also caught putting words where there are none. When pointed out, Schiff admitted it was a joke. Make a joke on a dead-serious hearing? Are you kidding me?

What's happening here is Russian Collusion was proven to be mostly a lie. But, it came from somewhere. Now, Trump (and many others) wants to know where it came from and it starts in the Ukraine. The Democrats are about to be put under a microscope and they're fighting hard not to be investigated. It didn't help Biden was caught doing what Trump is being accused of and it's on video.

Biden's son was kicked out of the military for doing cocaine. Whenever someone gets kicked out of the military, it results in a dishonorable discharge, meaning Biden's son shouldn't have been able to get any job except flipping burgers. Yet, he ended up in the Ukraine making US$600k a year on a job he had no experience in. Sounds very fishy to me. Then, Biden's son gets investigated and Joe strong-armed Ukraine into dropping the investigation? That's the real corruption here.

I actually watched Schiff when he was delivering that speech. TBH, I immediately understood that he was paraphrasing what Trump said during the call. I didn't think he was trying to pass it as 100% accurate. I'd even go out on a limb to say that, he was likely emulating Trump's stilted speech patterns or just generally how the message would've landed on Zelensky. I agree that it was probably not the best thing to do. Then again, the WH transcript did include a disclaimer stating that the document isn't a verbatim account of the phone call. Anyone's guess how Trump would've delivered it. My guess is that Schiff took some literary license.

About the Bidens, Trump shouldn't have put his nose in it and then ask the help of another country's president to have a political rival investigated. But to your point about Hunter Biden, it's not public knowledge whether or not it was a Dishonorable discharge. It just said "Administrative discharge". However, if we abide by the military's definition of administrative discharge due to substance abuse, he would theoretically fall under General discharge. I doubt his offence went through court martial to warrant a Dishonorable discharge. But that's neither here nor there.

Hunter is a lawyer. His work stint at Burisma Holdings called for him to be a board member in charge of the legal department. At face value, I don't see any problem with this.

    Kagulo na.

Trump, whether he knows it or not, is implicating VP Pence on the Ukraine thing. Pence's camp is doing their best to shield the VP from it.

And the text messages... where do I begin?

The texts are ugly. They reveal that top State Department diplomats worked with the president’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani to try to get Ukraine to commit to politicized investigations demanded by President Trump...
The texts reveal that the pressure campaign was presented this July as a quid pro quo — if Ukraine committed to these investigations, the US would agree to a White House meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky. For weeks, these State officials tried to get Zelensky to publicly announce he was conducting these investigations, in exchange for the meeting — but Zelensky apparently refused. (The Bidens are never mentioned by name in these texts, “Burisma” is used instead, but Trump was not so careful when talking to Zelensky on the phone in July.)

Trump’s house of cards is starting to crumble...

    1. Two of Rudy Giuliani’s “fixers” (Parnas and Fruman) arrested at an airport carrying one-way tickets out of the US
    2. Now that Rudy is under the microscope, Trump is starting to treat him like a hot potato and begins distancing himself and wouldn’t even answer a direct question whether or not Giuliani is still his attorney.... the same treatment he gave Michael Cohen when the latter got arrested and is now serving his sentence in federal prison
    3. The former US ambo to Ukraine spoke in a closed-door meeting in Congress how Giuliani lobbied to Trump to have her fired because she wouldn’t play ball
    4. There seems to be more whistleblowers contacting Congress to give their accounts of Trump’s misconducts (to put it mildly)

From our side here..... Whatever they're accusing Trump of, they're guilty of it too and for a much longer time.
