Is it right for a Senator to do this or is he just airing his grievance as an ordinary pinoy?

MANILA, Philippines --Senator Manuel "Mar" Roxas has refused to apologize for cursing at an anti-Charter change rally, saying he was just expressing the sentiment of the people.

"Sabihin ko lang huwag na silang maghantay [ng public apology] at hindi darating," he told "Punto por Punto," a public service segment of ABS-CBN's morning show, "Umagang Kay Ganda."

"Ito yung totoo. Hindi ako plastic. Ito yung damdamin ng taumbayan at talaga namag dapat ilagay nila sa tama ang kanilang ginagawa," he said.
At Friday's interfaith rally against Charter change in Makati City, Roxas shouted, "P_____ ina! Ano ba to?...Patayin ang Gloria-forever Cha-cha," referring to the contentious issue by its popular tag.
But the senator clarified that he was not cursing at the present situation in the country, not at President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.
"Hindi naman. Meron naman tayong decorum," he said in the same interview.

"Ang punto ko dito, nakamura ako dahilan sa napakasama talaga ng ating sitwatsyon. Yung sitwasyon natin. Yung kalagayan natin ang ating minura," he said.

Instead of Charter change, he said, the government should be focusing on the impact to the people of the global financial crisis.
But Roxas wondered why until now, the President has not stopped her allies in the House of Representatives from pursuing their moves to amend the 1987 Constitution.

He also doubts some congressmen's pronouncements that they would go slow on the issue.
"Well, itong gobyernong ito, one step back two steps foreward. Mga taktika lang itong lahat," he said.

"Dahilan sa pag nagsasabi ang ibang kaalyado na itigil muna, yung iba naman nagsasabi magkaroon tayo ng inter-chamber dialogue at mukhang pursigido pa rin ang ibang kaalyado," he further said.

Sus! Yun lang?!? Gee, it shows how low journalism here's sunk.

I'm no fan of Mr. Palengke (and he's living up to his moniker, btw), but maybe there are more important issues that reporters can write about.

mas PI yung nagpatawad...pinaka PI yung pinatawad...tangina, naghirap yung iba ma prosecute lang siya...may nagbuwis pa ng buhay...he should have asked forgiveness from every Juan dela Cruz. di nga nagsorry but due to some important and urgent concessions, he was pardoned.

kaya every Juan dela Cruz has every right to shout at her: PI nyo!!!

    "habang may tatsulok, ang iba ay nasa tuktok;
hindi matatapos itong gulo", Bamboo has rightly said...

kaya ok lang pareng Mar, di ka mag sorry...pero di ko pa rin ikaw type na maging Pres...isa lang ang gusto ko...associate justice siya ngayon sa CA...taga Bicol.

...only that, there's no enough funds to keep the campaign machinery grinding to catapult her to presidency. believe me...she has everything to be our next president...but she doesn't know i admire her this much. she is not rich...but she got the respect of other justices, even the moneyed ones.

On point. There is an undeniable indicator that the administration and the DDS are scrambling to protect its hold on the senate majority.

    1. Ditching Roque
    2. Mocha running for party list instead
    3. Sarah opted to run for local post
    4. Relying on Bong Go and Bato to win (?)
    5. Imee Marcos (?)
    6. Digging old issues to hurl against LP
    7. More fake news on Risa, Bam and Kiko

The steering & suspension haven't been good. The driver has been fulla excuses for the bumpy ride & missed turns. Time for an overhaul.
Almost 3years of more harm than good.

Everyone has been taken for a ride.

The only difference is, with a lemon car, you can sell. Ito, kahit i-donate mo, abonado ka pa kasi hindi ganun kabilis makabangon from their missed turns!
