And so? We're still a 3rd world country.

Well for many people here, freedom is you can do a rally anywhere then leave the place with your garbage and non-sense posters afterwards. That's freedom for people here.

Again, I think Noynoy is not the guy for the job. Why? Kasi he's nice and soft. Pwede nga ma-unite nya ung mga tao, but after that ano na? You don't send this country's economy to charts with unity.

Tingin ko lang pag si Ninoy nanalo ay baka sunod sunod na coup d'etat nanaman mangayari tulad sa mother nya. Dami syang leftist group na kasama and dami nanaman ingenious projects from military ang maabolish.

o c'mon. are you serious, bro?

we don't need a lee kuan yew. what we need are filipinos that behave like singaporeans or the japanese when it comes to public discipline and social responsibility. if we have a sense of discipline, we will not go with the flow, but on the contrary, we will not tolerate such an unacceptable behavior until that corrupt public official resigns. we may not aware of it, but what is happening is we are actually encouraging such behavior: traffic violations when left unattended; money under the table transactions; accepting favors from politicians; calling a padrino to fix something; etc., etc. tama si winnie monsod, we deserve the traffic and the gov't that we have.

look at japan, they did not need a strong leader for them to maintain public discipline. instead, they have a sense of shame and sensibility to their neighbors. dito kasi wala nang hiya ang mga tao. if we are responsible citizens, no corrupt public official will ever last in office.

i am not saying that we should abandon our filipino way of thinking; just the bad ones. besides, discipline is a universal necessity for a progressive and effective polity.

let's all be good filipinos. sayang naman and buhay na inalay ni ninoy.

I agree with sir coder, iron hand ang kailangan sa atin for now, medyo umiiba ang landas natin, we need to be straightened up, yung values parang unti-unti ay nawawala, but one thing i know for sure that yun ang gustong mangyari ng ibang politician natin...bakit? if most pinoy dont care na about their daily life and wala nang values decency natitira sa atin, they can steal whatever they want and still get away with it.

we need a lee kuan yew to achieve what you just said. do you think Filipinos will change their ways that easily? that's wishful thinking.

ika nga sa Filipino, kelangan pukpukin tayo sa ulo para magtino.

Marcos's first few years were very fruitful. We need just those repeated over and over again.

    No Imelda this time, please.

that what i've heard and read. we've become a tiger economy early in marcos's regime.
