simple answer... They (Germany) can afford it.

a couple of months ago, I kept asking people bakit ito galing dito? bakit ito pinili ng gov't etc?

Then someone told me... sila nag-pa-utang, kaya sila kailangan natin gamitin.

If a loan is granted by a specific country, yung contractor is kanila. so basically, an American company was willing to loan us nuclear reactors.

The process has been ongoing since the 2010s. Germany found it cheaper to use Russsian gas.

Re: Foreign loans look like "aid" to the recipient but its actually a way to stimulate the granting country's economy as well. They provide a market for their own products and expertise. So USAid will tend to go with American contractors and companies, JICA with Japanese ones, etc. The recipient government though has to put up an equal amount, termed as counterpart (in the form of local money+labor/personnel/subcontractors). China in PRRD's time almost did the same, except they took everything including using Chinese laborers, which is odd.

I think Hindi ko na i-klaro iyong point ko sa last post ko. [emoji28]

What I meant to state is that Marcos Jr is apparently not keen on reviving the Bataan nuclear plant anymore. Instead he's setting his sights on modular nuclear fission creators like I stated a month or so ago.

Be it because of the enormous cost the bnp needs to get it finally online , or because of the supposed earthquake hazard it's reputed to have , or due to the opposition of Bataan peeps residing in its perimeter - Marcos Jr is somewhat validating the reason/s why the Westinghouse white elephant was expensively mothballed in the 1st place.

^as president he will be briefed about the truth

famine isnt worth his fathers legacy should the plant leak poisonous radiation on nearby rice plantations considering its located in central luzon which is the rice granary of the country and mount pinatubo

Yeah that famine will definitely trump the recent famine brought about by PPE.

^radiation will remain poisonous for thousand of years..if the rice fields are contaminated by radiation then we are effed by that time

bataan peninsula was part of the war plan orange of WWII which saved the city of manila from destruction (open city) because of its central location in the island of luzon..mc arthurs forces from the north and south of luzon withrew or converged to the center to make their last stand

its the nature of radiation to spread in all direction, hence nuclear plants should be ideally located in the northernmost or southernmost part of the country for the half circle effect

the interviewee is a persuasive smooth talker who looks straight at the cam as if he's in a tv shopping network. he seems to sound like a lobbyist. but admittedly, he brings up a lot of interesting talking points and thought provoking insights that's needed for a dynamic conversation.

Small modular reactors Naman ata Ang utilize Dito sa atin. So probably it's going to be more than one site that’ll be constructed. And I understand those systems produce only a third of the footprints traditional nuclear power plants produce.

Ang Interesting kung ano Ang magiging Plano nila sa bnp
