Siguro pwede natin bilin yung 2nd hand low resale value Exped tapos ipark lang natin sa garage. Kung baga trophy! So kung may dadating sa bahay, wow naka EXPEDITION! Asenso ka na! Hoepfully your house matches the Expedition's heft para sabihin ng tao you have arrived!

Tapos siguro convert into LPG tapos gawing pang long trip lang! Comfortable daw sobra ang Exped eh. Pag tinopak ako baka yun gawin ko!

No one remembers the Top Gear Phil "econo-run" with Ford Expedition 1000km+ on one tank of fuel?

Unfortunately, if you don't use the XP, the parts might start to fail like the air-ride suspension might crack and leak from dis-use.

Even converted to LPG, the XP might cost you a lot in maintenance. Example, the fuel pump tends to fail if not used often (as in the case of when the XP is converted to LPG).

Baka matuluyan kang topakin sa fuel nun in long drives and sa periodic maintenance nun. :hysterical:

And yes, faulty nga daw yung air suspension nun. Hehehe. Pero comfortable naman and it's BIG !

And what's their average speed ? 50kph ? Hehehe with A/C on level 1 and all the unwanted things are removed such as tools and the spare tire ? Loljk.

I can't find the article regarding this. Do you have the link ?

Kaya nga TROPHY eh. Wag mong gamitin, display lang sa bahay... Once in a while gamit pag long trips kungwari out of town sa Tagaytay or something.

Baka puro highway yan, I can't imagine an Exped doing 9-10km/L in the city...

Well, it's was a road-trip and demonstration that even a Ford XP can achieve and exceed 1000km on one tank of fuel. It had no bearing on real world driving.

Is this the last issue under Mike Black as EIC?

With the Civic FD in the cover?

They vindicated that Exped was more frugal in fuel than the famous Honda Jazz econo-run with Pocholo Ramirez.

Yun nga, according to the tsikot link lahat ng pagtitipid ginawa.

No spare tire. No tools. With escorts ( no traffic ) In a convoy ( less wind drag ) . Driving at night ( cooler temp ) etc. etc.

Obviously, you can't reach this on your own.

I have that. Its on Mike's last ish as EIC. That was a good feature; doing an eco run on the poster boy of gas guzzlers and they actually did it.

My aunt still uses her Expy almost daily. 140,000kms and still running.

but of course, who would take me seriously eh last year din ang bubble ng mga culinary eating kaya ang dami ang tumataba, so how can they really imagine themselves inside a jimny or enduring is somewhat crude like ride.

oh well, that's a lesson of life, i guess.

That reminds me. Americans will have no trouble with the upcoming collapse because they are like polar bears. They can survive off of their fat, yo.

    ^^^ Thanks bro.

In which case, the 9-10Km/L performance of the FordXP is scandalously legitimate...

Lesson in life that no one really takes you seriously.

Why spend P700,000 to P750,000 on a crude riding sardine can called the Suzuki Jimny? That carries only four adults (assuming the two adults at the back seat has previously amputated their lower legs). Not to mention, the riding comfort of a kariton.

You can spend P599,000 for a Toyota Vios 1.3J. This can actually seat five adults complete with all their legs and still have a more comfortable ride. Not to mention a bigger boot capacity and have better fuel mileage because the vehicle has better aerodynamics than the Jimny which has the same aerodynamics as a domestic fridge.

Or buy the more sophisticated Hyundai Accent 1.4GL for 588K.

I don't care about the oil price increase. If someday it would be too much for me, I still wouldn't buy such ugly vehicle like a Suzuki Jimny.
