OT: Di ko sure pero sobrang spoiled ng mga anak ko sa mga lolo't lola nila.... driven kasi kami ng mga bata.... siguro kung kailangan namin ng easy money at para sa mga bata, baka bumalik kami.... as of now, expired na visa ni misis and pwede ulit syang mag-apply after 2 years. Yung sa akin valid pa up to next year yung NOA ko pero kailangan kong magpa-stamp ng visa (which is not that easy knowing how our US Embassy here in Pinas works). Yung 2 bunso ko pedeng bumalik dyan anytimeOriginally Posted by airshaq20

nabasa ko na lahat nung 1st 3 pages nitong thread and im damn frustrated......
****-hole at *** na ba ang tingin ninyo sa pilipinas? grabe naman.....Pinoy pa rin siya and he wants to get in touch with his roots.....hayaan natin siyang ma-diskubre ang kagandahan ng pilipinas...wag natin siyang i-discourage.....grabe naman.....we have to encourage him to touch roots here.....
i met 3 Nigerian foreign students in a medical mission in Pampanga....lahat sila niyayaya ako pumunta sa Nigeria para sa med mission at para makita daw ang maganda nilang bansa......Guys mas mayaman at mas maganda di hamak ang Pilipinas kaysa Nigeria pero they were still proud of their country.....
im not ethnic filipino/malay and i was able to touch roots sa birthplace country ng dad ko but one thing is for sure, it made me realize how "lucky" we are here in the philippines.....we have to love this country kasi ito lang ang iisang bansa natin eh
amf, sinabi ba naming ****-hole ang Pinas? We are not talking about 'roots' here kapatid, REALITY ang pinaguusapan natin. He did touch his roots when he came to visit, did he not? Or did you fail to read the entirety of 3 previous pages? US.Originally Posted by moneywhiz

to thread starter..imho go for it...wala naman mawawala sa iyo..bata ka pa kaya kung saan ka mag enjoy dun ka....its not about how much money you will earn...ang importante masaya ka at gusto mo mga ginagawa mo..
bumalik sa US anytime...

amf.....i read the entire 3 pages before i made my comment.....hey hey! we are not talking about your mom's situation and your situation back here in the Philippines OR the lives of those filipinos below the porverty line......why be so overly sensitive about it?Originally Posted by Karding
Limgo specifically wrote that he wanted to have working experience with the help of his uncle here in the philippines and he wrote that he will NOT stay longer than 5 years here......
what is the connection of the "reality" here in the philippines you are talking about with Limgo's desire to work with his uncle or through his uncle's help? he never said he is coming over and take his chance without connection in the philippine jobmarket......
"bulag sa katotohanan"? you are clearly implying that im an insensitive person eh....i give FREE consultations/drug dispersal 5X a week in my clinic in manila.....i do emergency medical treatment/obstetrical delivery in far flung areas of urban pangasinan to those i dont even know inspite of the uncertainties and possible danger at the wee hours of the morning because they cant afford hospital admitance......i do military/civilian medical mission left and right FOR free throughout the year.....i know people getting sick just because they cant afford to buy antibiotic worth P12.....so please do not lecture me for being "bulag sa reality".....do not pre-judge someone you dont even know personally
ok so if im not "bulag to reality", then i must be rich? karding, if you think being rich is being insensitive to the plight of the ordinary filipino then you must change your perception towards rich people.....
OT : pasingit lang po..
magkano na ba pamasahe papunta aMerica?
ano ba pinaka mura (air fare) na airlines one way goin to US of A?
hindi naman sa walang opportunity dito sa US, pero medyo mahirap lang makahanap ng magandang trabaho na walang kailangang experience. siguradong mas madali nga kung babalik ako sa pinas para magtrabaho sa companya ng tito ko kung experience lang ang habol ko. sure mas mainam kung yayaman din ako, pero what are the chances of that? basta't hindi ako mahihirapan magbayad ng mga kinakailangan, ok lang naman ako tutal hindi naman tatagal. ang problema ko lang ay kung pareho sa arkansas na kung masanay ka sa buhay dito, you're pretty much stuck here the rest of your life too.
anyway, i'm not mad at the companies for requiring position-related experience, pero mahirap makahanap ng trabaho kasi ang job experience ko ay trabaho na hindi man lang required ang high school diploma. sa current job ko, walang opportunity to move up. if i have to start over with a new job na pang-bata parin para lamang may opportunity to move up, eh di i'll take the easy route nalang and start with a job na may position na. easiest way to do that is to ask my uncle for help, and he's willing din naman.
it's not that i hate the US, but i hate to think na kung masyadong matagal akong maghintay ng opportunity, i won't get anywhere. sayang lang ang degree ko. sure mas maganda ang opportunity dito (tamo lang, ang college drop-out ay naging founder ng microsoft) but why go the hard way kung may nagaayang tumulong?
Kris
huling nagcheck ako ng pamasahe, $800+ ata from manila to arkansas (2 stops)
Kris
Go back
You'll see pagdating mo.
Welcome back
Ano ba pinagsasabi you cant find a job?

hhhmmnn..ok I'm one of those na nagta trabaho sa food industry..
I'm a GM (General Manager) at Jack in the box and make 60k+/yr
( which I think is not bad for someone who did not finish college like me)
if I were to move back to the Philippines, I don't think makakahanap ako
And working sa Jack,
ni hindi ako pinapawisan,I don't even stay more than 5 hours at work

to know. if you decided to go back, mag kwento ka na lang ng mga
experiences mo. balak ko din kseng bumalik.
arkansas isn't really the poorest state in the US, pero halatang probinsya. whatever i don't like about this state isn't specific to this state; i'm sure there are stupid people everywhere
some of you guys make it seem like if i move to the philippines for work, parang magiging forever na. ayun ba ang mangyayari kahit na ang plan ko ay temporary stay lang diyan?
Kris
Not necessarily kapatid. In the end, you still decide for yourself kung san ka nga ba talaga lalago. There are pros and cons in every country, whether sa States man or sa Pinas. It's how you live your life, may nagsabi dito na kung san ka masaya, dun ka. I totally agree with that.Originally Posted by limgo

Suggestion lang kapatid, why don't you ask the One above, He always listens and will always give you the right direction.
are you going to work just for show and experience? cause if you are like most people who works for MONEY, it's not here, specially if you came from the states. Are you expecting subsidy from your parents or relatives here? suck it up there, man. move to a non-redneck state perhaps. my relatives moved there and found work (the whole family). maarte ka lang siguro
I'm guessing that you or your family is probably rich in the states. yung tipong magmamasters degree nalang kasi ayaw magtrabaho ng mahirap (like some people I know- doctor at real estate and parents sa states![]()

did it ever cross your mind that employers here when you decide to come back with Phil. based experience might not even consider the experience you gained since they can easily tell you, it won't weigh anything to them? most companies here look for people who have "local" experience.
which was what happened to me...btw....
