no dear JT... 120 ang sinabi ni Lucio Tan. If u recall nagtagal sya noon sa Hawaii, sa takot kay GMA. I remember that article where he discussed about DEAD PEOPLE are travelling to US mainland. he he he

Literally because, cadavers are needed for medical studies. And it was during that interview that he said the peso will hit 120!

our economic and moral downfall of our country is not only a burden for the poor but also of those people who move the economy of our nation. the most lamest crap i've heard lately is from a certain person(from the opposition) who said let's not let the elite control our country, the masa should rule instead. whether we like it or not the elite will rule this land, it's the elite who controls the stock market. the only market the poor controls is the supermarket.

err ... the wet market hehehe

kidding aside, even a person from the masa can rule us. lahat naman tayo nanggaling sa hirap except for the Spanish-sounding family names who inherited most of the strategic lands since the early 19th century. check the biographies of some of our former presidents, karamihan galing din
    sa hirap.

it only implies na pare-pareho daw lahat tayo mag-isip.

if a foreigner visits our country and gets to chat with 300 people, then the foreigner is now an expert in Philippine matters ... hehehe

iirc ... 300 samples might be more than enough to observe a trend in a randomly sampled population, regardless of the total population

matagal na yung statistics course ko pero ang natatandaan ko, for example 2 possible outcomes lang, say mamili ang tao kung ano gusto nya, gma or noli, you only need 30 samples to be 90+% accurate to conclude the trend (regardless of total population) ... mahirap paniwalaan but that's the math of it ... and i think the word "random" has a lot to do with it

but don't take my word ... my memory is not that reliable ... so it is best to ask statistics expert

update to statistics math (or why 30 samples is enough) ... buti na lang meron google

for example gusto natin malaman ang average fuel consumption ng isang car model ... so we ask owners their consumption ... and we get figures like 7.5 km/li, 8.1km/li etc. ... as more and more samples come in, we will find that the figures will tend to be "normally distributed" about the mean (the average fuel consumption) ... statistics math says that 30 samples is enough to produce a "normally distributed" data ... which basically means that the mean (or average) of 30 samples is accurate enough even without knowing the total number of cars (of the same model) on the road.

the same principle of course applies to a single car ... if you have 30 samples of your fuel consumption, then you can reasonably expect that the average of your 30 samples is the true average consumption of your car ... you may distinguish between city or hi-way driving so then you will need 30 samples for city driving and another 30 samples for hi-way driving which will then give you an average for city driving and a different average for hi-way driving

i don't know how this principle would apply to the topic ... pulse asia survey ... but the above illustrates that it is not necessary to sample all subjects to be able to make a reasonable conclusion ... in fact, 30 samples is all you need to produce a normally distributed data ... for our example on fuel consumption, 300 samples would be an overkill

incidentally, i voted for ping in the last election ... kahit na alam kong matatalo sya

ok so I'm wrong with this. but at least they're still giving. That particular land where Meralco Foundation is standing is a prime land. If I were a big time businessman, malaking halaga din yun, it could earn more if that were a business than a charity institution. And it is still paying the same real estate taxes kahit na for charity yun. And they're not exempt. Bec. that institution is required for them by law.

some people who shout on the streets dont even realize this. you say the govt. is indifferent, you say the govt is pro-rich, anti-poor. Why not instead
shouting, try to read our laws. Napakadami po pang pro-poor d2, for the less and the unfortunate. Of course, tycoons get tax breaks from their acts of charity but still they dont pocket all they earn, as most people on the streets claim. And the law makes sure of that.

sadly, hindi na ito na-rirealize coz napakadami na natin talaga. pagsamahin mo pa ang free services, charitable services, basic services etc., talagang kulang pa to service our bloated population. But they give, that's what's important. hindi naman din siguro tama yun take na lang tayo ng take. at pag nde naibigay e parang bata tayo magmamaktol sa kalsada.
