Model's $20m bid for Marcos funds
    By Frank Walker
    July 11, 2004
    The Sun-Herald

A former Sydney model, who received payments from the late Philippine dictator Ferdinand Marcos after she had a baby, flew to Manila after he died to try to get $20 million from his estate, a close associate has revealed.

A Sun-Herald investigation has found that the woman, Evelin Hegyesi, made frequent trips to Manila after she had the baby.

Several of Ms Hegyesi's associates said she had told them Marcos was the father of her baby.

The baby, born in April 1971, was called Analisa Josefa. Josefa was the name of Marcos's mother.

They said Ms Hegyesi's relationship with the dictator lasted up to 15 years and a few times a year she would meet him at a safe house in the exclusive gated community of Forbes Park in Manila. But they did not meet after he was forced into exile to Hawaii in 1986.

Friends said she was an elegant, beautiful but very private woman. She always spoke fondly of Marcos, the man later accused of being a cruel dictator and someone who had fleeced his country.

The two are said to have met while she was working as a model in Paris in 1970.

She was at a fashion show and was introduced to president Marcos and "struck an immediate rapport".

A friend said she had seen photos Ms Hegyesi took of Marcos relaxing beside a swimming pool.

One source said Marcos personally approved the purchase of a five-bedroom mansion in Sydney's exclusive Point Piper shortly before the birth of her baby.

The source said Marcos sent his top henchman General Fabian Ver to Sydney when the baby was born to verify that the child was his. Ver died in 1998 and this could not be confirmed.

But Swiss court documents show Ms Hegyesi received regular payments from secret bank accounts held by Marcos in Switzerland and Liechtenstein from the time the baby was born.

Marcos paid a month to an account held by Ms Hegyesi at the Bank of NSW (now Westpac) in Sydney. She had told friends that there was $350,000 in the account.

The Sun-Herald revealed last week that Swiss court documents suggest far more was transferred from Marcos's secret accounts to interests held by Ms Hegyesi.

These payments stopped after Marcos died in 1989. Sources said Ms Hegyesi tried for several years after his death to get the Marcos family lawyers to pay for support.

Finally, in February 1993, she took her daughter to Manila to meet the Marcos lawyers to try to persuade them the pair were entitled to $20 million from the estate.

They travelled with Joe Phillips, a financial consultant she had hired to help claim the money from the Marcos estate.

Associates said the Hegyesis and Mr Phillips met the Marcos family lawyer Manuel Lazaro early in February, 1993. Several of Marcos's generals were at the meeting.

Mr Lazaro told them he accepted Analisa was the daughter of Marcos, but there was no provision for them in Marcos's will. The meeting was friendly and the three were invited to dinner at Mr Lazaro's home.

Ms Hegyesi later met another Manila lawyer, Helen T. Rivilla, who was a witness to the Marcos will. Associates said Ms Hegyesi gave Ms Rivilla testimonies signed by several of Marcos's friends that she was the mother of a child by Marcos.

PEP: Ferdinand Marcos's Aussie daughter axed from reality show
    03/31/2011 | 03:57 PM

"The thing is that I've had to juggle my business and clients to make time for the show after I was asked to audition and was then chosen from hundreds of people around Australia.

"I was chosen on my own merits but then I was dropped due to aspects of my private life which I will not discuss.

"I was told there was a fear, too, attention would be paid to me and not the show and other contestants," sabi ni Analisa sa interview.

- Philippine Entertainment Portal

Another article came out in Yahoo News: http://ph.news.yahoo.com/ferdinand-m...00300-441.html

Daughter of a former swimsuit and Playboy model? Makamandag talaga itong si Macoy... or his millions, that is.

If only for this dubious honor, Macoy should be buried at the Libingan ng mga Bayani. Bayani ng mga babaero.
