Legend has it that it was the Dovie Beams incident that solidified the iron butterfly. It was after that incident that the said butterfly spread her wings and became more aggressive in calling her own shots.

Some conspiracy theory even existed that Dovie was a hired US spy (CIA perhaps?) who was instructed to do the tape recordings. We'll never know though! hehehe
