Zaldy is allowed to attend the wedding while Leila De Lima, in jail for questionable charges was denied a chance to attend her son's graduation. Tsk tsk.

    Matagal talaga justice system natin.

Usad pagong na nga, nalalagyan pa yung mga judge at prosecutors.

Tapos mag-appeal pa yang mga halang na Ampatuan na yan.

All the way to the SC.

What bothers me is parang lame na ang court regarding sa compensation.

Kung ayaw magbayad nila Ampatuan, meron ba magagawa yun korte?

I don't know what should be done to change that to make sure makabayad mga convicts.

Yes that would be the correct way for the victims to ask the court to garnish properties owned by the Ampatuans.

Pano kung naintransfer na sa ibang name? Pretty sure di na sila nagulat na guilty sila and already did the necessary papaerworks while waiting for the decision.

That's where another investigation would come in. If the transfer was not for any considerations then one could argue that fraud was present. They must prove that there is badges of fraud in the transactions in order to avoid paying up.

If there was consideration (Ampatuans got paid), then go after the money. If money was donated, then go after the donee because again badges of fraud may be present since there is a pending suit when all these "supposed" selling/donating of properties occured.

There will always be a paper trail, they can check where the properties - real or personal and with value - went.

Thanks. So endless investigation and wait years before the decision again.
By that time, baka patay na ang mga close relatives ng mga nadale.

Similar to this, I remember months ago, nainterview si sanchez and di daw sila magbabayad. And that case was 15 years ago pa.

    ------

I would not be surprised if after 50 years, those names are again the ruling class on their respective areas. Lie low lang muna.

Isasama nila to sa bilibid. Eh di gumawa din yan ng army sa loob. Magiging untouchable.

Faux win sa mga victims imo. This is the time death penalty would be useful sana.

Yeah, automatic appeal sa SC yan kasi reclucion perpetua ang hatol. So mga 3-5 years na naman.

Good thing is there are identified assets na din pala and was also subjected to a freeze order. Hindi nga lang lahat and yes, the hard cash would be difficult to find if there won't be a thorough crackdown on known associates of the clan that could hide such amount of hard cash.

"Alongside fighting the appeal is another challenge: the pursuit of the Ampatuans’ wealth for forfeiture by the state, and payment of civil damages to the victims’ families.

Freeze orders have been issued by the courts on bank accounts, real estate property and other identified assets of the clan of accused mastermind Andal Ampatuan Sr., who died before justice could be served."https://www.philstar.com/opinion/2019/12/20/1978399/monsters-inc

i heard over a radio interview, that their bank vault really is a bank vault. they purchased it from a far east bank branch that was closing down.
hindi raw masyadong popular ang banco doon. so they store their money and gold in their homes.
when authorities went to their house a decade before, the vault had already been cleaned empty by the owners...

now, the buildings and real estates...
