Mukhang norm na ang hindi maging human being dito sa Pilipinas.

Crab mentality. A family of overachievers makes their ward look like people who missed the short bus. Parang yung ibang commenters sa "does school matter" thread.

[Translation: We sincerely thank everyone who joined us in this initiative to deliver the necessary medical assistance to our countrymen during this time of the COVID-19 pandemic.]

Despite the limited budget, the OVP launched the free teleconsultation service in April 2021 when the capital region was facing a surge in new infections.

Robredo previously urged medical professionals to join her telemedicine program.

"Sa lahat ng ating volunteer doctors, nurses, at iba pang medical professionals, pati na rin sa mga non-medical volunteers na naglaan ng kanilang oras at kakayahan para maging matagumpay ang ating programa, maraming salamat po sa inyo," Bayanihan E-Konsulta said.

[Translation: To all our volunteer doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals, as well as to the non-medical volunteers who gave their time and skills to make our program a success, thank you very much.]

In a separate post, Robredo's office said it would also suspend medical and burial assistance beginning June 1, as the OVP prepares for the transition to the incoming administration.
    This breaks my heart.

Back when there was a covid surge (Q3 2021) one by one, my friends and relatives were getting covid. It was so hard to get a consultation from doctors or buy medicines and supplies. Guess where some of my friends got help? OVP through bayanihan e konsulta. My friends encouraged me to request a covid kit (na hindi tipid and top quality products) but I decided not to anymore. My friend got one and his cousin also. One kit per person yan! My friend is middle class, graduated from a "top school", works at a multinational and lives at a village in the South. The other one yung Paulinian friend ko. Kay OVP hindi lang mahirap ang natutulungan pero LAHAT ng Pilipino.

I'm shaking my head na lang, we had a chance to have an efficient government, first world services and ruined it.

I don't know when I'll ever get over this sadness and disappointment

Baka makabawi din if the BBM admin fails spectacularly.

Perhaps in other countries she would have won the elections by a landslide, but here? Kahit maganda ang hangarin mo para sa tao eh taga L.P. ka eh no ka sa kanila, which is the mindset that has been planted in the minds of so many people. Ngayon tingnan natin what plan of action BBM and co. has eh lalo na may reports of a slight surge. As I said, the kind of government we all long for may come but not in our lifetime.

88M actually has it easy, his predecessor actually set the bar pretty low. HIs presscon 2 days ago was a HUGE improvement over what we got for the past 6 years (no more late night rants, feet on the table, a proper suit, no foul-mouth). I will give him that. But SWOH, well lets see how she tops Leni. Yung ISO-certification pa lang, baka di niya yan ma-renew or baka wala siya balak ituloy.

Malamang yung mandatory ROTC at Military service lang ang aatupagin ni SWOH. Kung tutuusin Leni set the bar high not only for the succeeding VP's but for public officials as a whole as well, too bad people have low standards and settled for less.
