INC crisis: Suspended minister urges gov’t intervention
SACKED PASUGO EDITOR CONFIRMS ABDUCTION OF 10 MINISTERS

A SUSPENDED minister of Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) said he believed that there are 10 other ministers and manggagawa (a step before being ordained as Ministers) who were abducted.

Isaias Samson Jr., also former editor-in-chief of Pasugo, INC’s official publication, said a government intervention in the crisis of the INC would be a big help.

At a press conference Thursday, Samson said some of the ministers and manggagawa were being held at the Rosalia Compound in Tandang Sora.

Samson specifically cited the case of Boyet Menorca who was picked up by the military in Sorsogon then taken to Dasmarińas, Cavite where he was charged with illegal possession of explosives.

“May dala raw syang granada,” Samson said.

He said the other ministers and manggagawa abducted were taken to Camp Caringal in Quezon City.

Katunayan, meron pa sila ngayong ginagawang masama tulad ng pag-abduct sa ilang ministro at manggagawa ng Iglesia…I do not know bakit ,” he added.

But Samson said he does not know the extent of police and military involvement.

I do not know kung bakit sila nagkaganoon at kung bakit sila nagkaroon ng ganong connivance…Ang Iglesia, hindi ganyan ang aral,” he said.

I pity them, they're torn. Looks like its time na para magising sila sa katotohanan.

    FTW!!!! :hammer:

QCPD chief Pagdilao: 'No abduction' situation in Manalo compound
    July 24, 2015 12:09am
    1341 79 0 1652

Police Chief Superintendent Joel Pagdilao said he and his fellow police officers who went to the Manalo housing compound late Thursday evening did not find any indication of any "abduction" situation affecting the residents.

Pagdilao, director of the Quezon City Police District, told news media gathered outside the Manalo residence that the occupants of the house are safe.

Ang pinaka-importante ay nakausap natin sila," he said.

He repeatedly said that the situation seemed to be an internal matter for the Iglesia ni Cristo and the Manalo family.

Mayor Herbert Bautista, who said he was at the scene for a personal update, said that the local government and the police will monitor the situation, but also repeatedly said that it is an internal matter.

Earlier, a spokesman of the Iglesia ni Cristo said the church has "no control" over the residential area, where the apparently estranged relatives of the church's Executive Minister Eduardo Manalo had claimed they were held against their will.

The spokesman, who identified himself as Kapatid Edwin Zabala, also said in a huddle with news media along Tandang Sora Avenue in Quezon City, that they are posing no objection or hindrance to Pagdilao's request to enter the housing compound to ascertain the condition of the residents.

Earlier in the night, some supporters and members of the Iglesia ni Cristo threw food into the housing compound.

Kaya kailangang-kailangan po nila," Michael, a church member said in a report on "Saksi" on Thursday.

— ELR/JDS, GMA News
