Tensions are escalating at the East China Sea.

China unilaterally declares an Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ)

    Japan ignores this. Korea protests

US flies 2 US B-52 bombers to test Chinese resolve

Now, Japanese airlines will ignore the Chinese ADIZ.

Who will blink first? How far will this go?

Will China do the same for the Spratleys and West Philippine Sea?

AFAIK, even Australia summoned the Chinese ambassador to convey its protest over the ADIZ over the Senkaku Islands. It only shows that China is not fit to responsibly assume a leadership role among nations in Asia, and that any influence it has over other more docile countries has to do more with its money than its foreign policies.

    China already blinked this morning.

China = 1 aircraft carrier in training.
USA = 12 Super carriers with naval warfare experience since the 1700's.

Sure... 10 carriers. I wonder much time is left in the hull, oh wait... operating beyond service capacity.

Hmmm, mukhang totoo tuloy ang HAARP, since hindi pwede magpadala ng aircraft carriers ang US kung wala naman conflict, dahil sa yolanda nagkaroon sila ng reason to go to asia. Pero baka nagkataoon lan....

Lt. Col. Tom Crosson, a military spokesman, described the flights as “uneventful” and said they were part of a previously scheduled training mission. He said there was “no contact, no reaction from China.”

China bought its carrier from Russia. afaik Russia gutted out all the electronics, then basically sold the chassis. Now unless some US defense contractors outsource the production of such equipment to China(wink wink nudge nudge), then they have to build that up from scratch.

As one US military expert/official noted, having a carrier is one thing, you also have to develop the personell, protocols, etc. Unless somebody offers to do that for them, tingin ko matatagalan din to. imho i don't think even Russia would want to do that.

But then again, mayabang ang China, much too mayabang for its own good. Let's see if this is a bluff or if it's for real.

    china:
The Chinese Defense Ministry warned that any noncommercial aircraft entering the zone would need to submit flight plans in advance and maintain radio contact with Chinese authorities or else face unspecified “defensive emergency measures.”
    Washington Post:
U.S. flies two warplanes over East China Sea, ignoring new Chinese air defense zone
China said Wednesday morning that it had identified and observed the U.S. planes throughout their journey through the zone, as it will for all aircraft traveling through the area.

“What we need to emphasize is that China will identify all activities of all aircraft in the East China Sea Air Defense Identification Zone,” Defense Ministry spokesman Geng Yansheng said in a statement. “China has the ability to take effective management and control of the relevant airspace.”
mukhang empty threat lang or china is just testing the waters

Nakow, after declaring an ADIZ and then doing nothing about it, mapapahiya lalo ang Tsina nito, nyahahahaha

Food for thought: if the US had known during the Korean War what China would be doing today, would the US have stopped then at the Yalu River?
