“Alam mo ‘yan si Lagarde, nakita ko ‘yan… Just pull her into a corner, halikan mo lang, p***** i**, mag-iba ang isip niyan (You know, Lagarde, I’ve seen her… Just pull her into a corner, kiss her, son of a ****, she will change her mind),” Duterte said yesterday.

?Gloomy Philippines outlook? Kiss IMF chief, change her mind? | Philstar.com

I can only imagine what DU30 did to Xi Jinping for the latter to "change his mind", maybe more than just a kiss to who knows where...

Meanwhile, DU30 cohorts are putting corruption on whole new level, may side line pa sa "intimate affair" with an Intern (supposedly a student). Kanor moves ni Calida.

Calida sued at Ombudsman over security agency

Agree. Has absolutely nothing to do with the economy, or on what Lagarde warns us about. Way off the mark, and was just pure nonsense.

Hanoi tells Beijing to remove missiles, SE Asia News & Top Stories - The Straits Times

Vietnam: “Vietnam requests China... not to militarise, (and) withdraw military equipment that were illegally deployed on structures under Vietnam's sovereignty”

Malacanang: "Someday we will thank China for those artificial islands." "..those missiles are not directed at us."

Walang pera for defense equipment pero may Php 500 million pambili ng property. Puputok na rin ulo ko. Am way too dumb for these people.

    Washing dirty linen in public...

Setting the record straight | Inquirer News

Wanda’s fault is that she did not get intelligent people as her staff. They would have advised her against signing a contract with PTV 4 where Ben was a blocktimer.

A blocktimer is not an organic member of a radio or TV station but one who pays for airtime.

She was clueless that Ben would get the lion’s share, so to speak, of the P60 million advertising contract.

She was only following President Digong’s injunction for all Cabinet members to support PTV 4 which is a government network.

Ben, who suffers from the “middle child” syndrome — he’s the fifth child after me, Wanda is the fourth — should have known better than to touch the multi-million peso advertising contract with PTV 4 since that would constitute conflict of interest on his sister’s part.

But Ben insists on his innocence, claiming that the Department of Tourism — of which Wanda was the erstwhile head — didn’t sign the contract with his company, Bitag Multimedia Network.

No amount of pleading from me when the uproar broke out could persuade Ben to admit it was his fault and not Wanda’s.

“F**k you! Don’t treat me like a child,” he told me.

Wanda, being older than Ben, wanted to save him even if it would put her in hot water, resulting in her eventually losing her job.

Back to Ben. He is the renegade among us, the black sheep.

Now tell me, which big family does not have a black sheep?

Wanda committed another booboo when she hired lawyer Ferdinand Topacio as her legal counsel.

The guy is all talk. He doesn’t care about his client; he only cares about getting publicity from a controversy.

When Topacio said the Tulfo brothers, in a family meeting, had decided to return the P60 million, the guy was talking for himself.

I was never consulted. Nor were Ben, Erwin or Raffy.

And why would I return the money that I never got in the first place?

That’s what Erwin and Raffy are also asking.

And by the way, Erwin was only Ben’s cohost at “Kilos Pronto,” the now controversial program. He is not part of Ben’s company.

President Digong should be commended for sacking Wanda.

Loyalty to country and people should take precedence over loyalty to friends and family.

Meanwhile, I am supporting Wanda’s fight to clear her name, but not Ben’s.

'Ulyanin': Topacio hits back at Mon Tulfo | ABS-CBN News

Sought for his comment, Topacio told reporters: "Kailangan pa ba yun? Sabi ng nanay ko, 'wag na pumatol sa ulyanin eh."

(Is that needed. My mother said, don't pay attention to senile people.)

Topacio reminded the eldest Tulfo sibling that he once served as his lawyer.

"'Yung sinasabi niyang the guy is all talk and he doesn't care about his client, he must have forgotten kasi ulyanin na nga," the lawyer said.

(About what he said that the guy is all talk and he doesn't care about his client, he must have forgotten because he's already senile.)

"Sometime in the year 2000 or 1999, he was my client together with Raffy Tulfo. So why would he hire me if I were all talk, di ba?” he added.

“Napakaplastik nitong si Tulfo eh. Two weeks ago nakita ko pa sa HKG ito. Of all people naman napaka malas ko naman of all people to bump into in HKG," he said.

(This Tulfo is so plastic. Two weeks ago, I saw him in HKG. Of all people in HKG, I'm so unfortunate to bump into him.)

"Kasama ko si FG (former first gentleman Mike Arroyo). Niyakap pa niya si FG, niyakap pa niya ako. Sabi niya, 'Huy, you help me. Tatakbo akong Senado.'"

(I was with FG. Mon hugged FG, he also hugged me. He said, 'Hey help me. I'm running for Senate.)

Topacio also denied that he did not consult his client before telling the media that the Tulfos have agreed to return the P60-million ad money.

“Why would I do that? A lawyer never gives any information publicly without any clearance from his client and my client in this case is Secretary Wanda Teo who in a telephone conversation [said] ganito nangyari,” he said.

Read the news reports the about the appointment, everybody welcomes it, be it admin, oppo and even huge conglomerates that deals with tourism.

Seems like yours is the only voice in the wilderness that’s against the appointment.

    Care to elaborate?

At the very least, I hope Sec. Romulo-Puyat won't be an embarrassment as a Secretary and head of a department.

Hell, look at who's running the DFA. A lawyer, ex-Vice Mayor, ex-Senator...and still that amateur night faux pas with Kuwait happened under his watch. Oh, and his mantra is don't mess with our sovereignty (while very eager to trample some other country's sovereignty para magpasikat).

Remember who used to call the shots for the DOJ? Distinguished trial lawyer kuno who in the end had to resign because of several controversial cases he bungled (Napoles, Espinosa, Immigration).

Again her background is economy and agriculture. Even as USEC it seems it is not really tourism which is her strong suite.

Being not corrupt is not enough imho. He/she (Secretary, alter ego of the Pres.) should be competent (meaning his expertise is in line with the agency he/she is supposed to lead) as well.

Also, as mentioned in the news, close family nila PDigong at Romulo, by saying na corrupt free siya and no other else as consideration why she was picked, sobra ka-obvious naman na palakasan talaga at hindi nga competence ang isa sa basehan.

I am not nitpicking pero as all employees here and managers know, hindi lang hindi isang aspect/characteristic/factor tinitignan sa pagpili ng pino-promote diba.

Obviously being chosen because of trust is a given, especially nga na alter-ego ng president yan. Just my thought on it.

Why not promote from someone in the DOT who is also unscrupulous? I am sure meron naman unless lahat eh bugok.

I've encountered so many companies wherein the number one factor for consideration is trust. This is especially true for Chinese-Filipino companies. Maaring may mas magaling, pero kung hindi tiwala ng amo, hindi rin nagiging kanang kamay. I am sure that this holds true for cabinet positions as well, which is why they're appointed and not elected. All administrations before the current one have also had their fair share of appointees whose qualifications don't match their posts.

Personally I think the government can do so much worse than Berna Puyat, so I take it as a good thing that she's now at the helm of DOT. There are so many other points of improvement for the government that I don't think her appointment is worthy of nitpicking.

Breaking news... Quo Warranto granted. Sereno is disqualified and appointment void from holding office for not completing the required SALN when she was a UP professor. I guess moot and academic na yung impeachment niya. SC vote was 8-6, depending on who appointed them

This now opens a pandora's box.

    Indeed.
The first constitutional officer to have been removed from office without an impeachment trial.

Justices remove Sereno from SC | Inquirer News

The eight Justices who voted in favor of the quo warranto petition were: Associate Justices Teresita Leonardo De Castro, Diosdado Peralta, Lucas Bersamin, Samuel Martires, Francis Jardeleza, Andres Reyes Jr. Alexander Gesmundo, and Noel Tijam, who authored the decision.

The six who dissented were Senior Associate Justice Antonio Carpio, Presbitero Velasco Jr., Marvic Leonen, Estela Perlas-Bernabe, Mariano Del Castillo, and Alfredo Benjamin Caguioa.

The decision is expected to be immediately executory, pending the filing of a motion for reconsideration by Sereno

Wow just wow. These SC Justices should have known better than to violate the Constitution.

We as a nation has fallen well into the deepest corruption not only financially but morally and politically.

DU30 and His minions knew that they cannot win in an Impeachment case vs Sereno. Its a stage where in the PEOPLE can see and hear the credible defense of Sereno and very weak and nonsense case of Gadon and the illogical Calida. Its a scenario they can't allow to happen. Yung makapag presenta ng evidence si Sereno para lumabas ang totoo. These people are so afraid of the truth because it doesn't side with them.

The only option then is to bully their agenda into the very same court Sereno is chief. Let the individual judges go against each other, destroy each other, and at the end it will nothing more than a kangaroo court of Du30.

That's the plan. They did well. No we remember these acts. History will judge them.

Like what George Orwell says about 1984 -- WAR IS PEACE, FREEDOM IS SLAVERY, IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH
