Duterte: Campaign Funds came from Marcoses
October 6, 2016 lasoladmin
On his speech yesterday at the Dusit Thani Hotel, President Rodrigo Duterte confirmed that his political campaign for presidency funds came from Imee Marcos, daughter of the former dictator and plunderer Ferdinand Marcos.
He said that he was just an ordinary mayor from Davao who doesn’t have any solid financial backing when he decided to take on the presidency, and Imee Marcos was the one who have helped him.

He stressed the fact that he accepted financial aid from the Marcoses, family of plunderers. “Wala akong barangay captain, wala akong congressman, wala akong pera. Si Imee pa ang nagbigay. Sabi niya inutang daw niya. Si Imee supported me,” he stressed.
He also stressed the fact that his father was a member of the Cabinet of Marcos, and so, he cannot disassociate with them anymore. It’s like they are bounded for some reasons, or so Duterte believes.

All this time i couldn't make sense of the "Dilawan" tag people keep throwing around.
With that in the background, it makes a lot of sense.
It has been in the works since September. Happens naturally since Greggy is the 2nd largest shareholder of Philweb yet, only Ongpin was branded oligarch.

Parang Drug Pusher lang yan. Pag kaibigan, kumpare, o kakampi yung Drug Pusher o Oligarch, OK lang kay MyPRESident. Lusot. No questions asked.
Pag kalaban, kainisan o kabuwisitan, kung di kayang patayin, eh di takutin, tuligsain, at gawan pa ng pekeng ebidensya para masira sa mata ng publiko.
Bagay na bagay 👍👍

If Duterte has his ways, this will be the new taxes on car purchases
According to Lagman, the taxes will go up from two percent to five percent for automobiles with prices below P600,000; 20 percent for those selling for P600,000 to P1.1 million; 40 percent for those with prices ranging from P1.1 million to P2.1 million; and 60 percent for vehicles selling above P2.1 million.

‘We can live without’ US aid – Philippines defense minister — RT News
Philippines Defense Minister Delfin Lorenzana said Manila should “re-assess” its relationship with the US and the benefits of the alliance, while maintaining that the country’s military would survive if Washington were to withdraw its aid.
Lorenzana said that the value of US military aid to Manila is “not that much” and that the country’s military officials could ask the Philippines Congress to make up for a shortfall of $50-$100 million a year in aid from Washington.
“We can live without (that),” Lorenzana told a foreign correspondents’ forum on Friday, Reuters reported.![]()
