My family personally had to go through a trial and conviction of a close relative for qualified theft. She was sentenced to 20 years to life. Pagkatapos ng 20 years, napalaya din siya. Pero even before that, matagal na namin siya napatawad, considering na nagkasira-sira din ang pamilya niya dahil sa nangyari sa kanya. That was for qualified theft.
This case? Double murder and frustrated murder. The killing was not even accidental but intentional. Execution-style. And after a couple of years, ok na because of good behavior?

At least sana Teehankee will never be issued a permit to own a gun now that he's out. . . . . Asa pa.

Sec. Gonzales acknowledge this in last night's news he further elaborated by saying "why not? he has already served more than half of his term..."
It won't be a surprise if the song 'Who Let the Dogs Out' would again be popular in the next few months.
Mrs. Hultman was quoted as saying that "I am ashamed to be a Filipino because we have now seen that the Philippine justice system never really works.."

la akong bilib sa capacity ni raul gonzales to lead as the secretary of justice...
here in the philippines, when you have the money to pay the right people, you can do and have everything you want... kawawa si maureen...=(
if rolito will be freed it wont be a big surprize also if webb no surprize as well... the rich just fled the jail...
its very ironic why pinoys pay so much attention of pinoys who were maltreated and or has a case abroad... however in their own country they couldnt lift a finger...
its not just gma and all her cohorts but all pinoy... yes pinoys has a good side but listen to the bad side of pinoy youll be drown by the absurdness of all of it...(i am sorry but pun intended to open our eyes to the reality that we dont see because we ourselves commit that error) and oh by the way the last 3 lines must already be ot=) peace=)

October 8th, 2008 08:54 PM #29Well kudos to GMA, Gonzales et al for this latest fiasco. Bravo! you're running true to form - that only prominent, moneyed, and well-connected convicts get their papers on top of the heap. Sad.

Palibhasa....
