Sir explorer, why no wealth you? How long are your working hours? Does your family have a choice being included in your great sacrifice? Or maybe they better die cuz you say so. Niiicceee.

Do you know the story of Maximillien Robespierre? Maybe you should.

wala namang kumokontra sa iyo na hindi umuunlad ang pilipinas. as you say, the people keep electing people who everybody knows are criminals or who will not do anything to improve the country. BUT THAT IS THE WILL OF THE PEOPLE. sabihin mo nang bobo silang lahat, but that's the way democracy works.

there are a lot of people who said the exact same things that you said in your last post, and used those words to start a violent change in government. shall i list their names? Adolf Hitler, Josef Stalin, Saddam Hussein, Fidel Castro, Mao Ze-Dong, Idi Amin, Mobutu Sese Seko, Francisco Franco, Pol Pot, Augusto Pinochet...maybe you should read up on what happened after they won their "revolutions".

keep thinking the way you're thinking, you're in good company.

huling hirit - did you notice all the tsikoteers who posted after you who said they were against violence and civil war? i guess their opinion (or anyone else's) doesn't matter because you know best.

sir *explorer, since given na na we failed 2x or 3x (if EDSA 3 included) already. dont you think it's high time to stop blaming the govt. for this and trace the problem sa pinaka-root of it all. why not blame the people, yes us the pinoys. the crab-mentality-ridden, divisive and ignorant indio ...

I like to think out of the box kasi eh so pls bear with me na lang:

1.) do you believe that we as a society have reached a certain political maturity and that we are capable of leading ourselves to the 21st century?

2.) do you think that our national heroes are worthy of such honor? I mean

    * have a writer who likes to attack and write but refused to fight but loves to flirt. (writer/lover not a fighter)
    * We have a plebian who got backstabbed.
    * We have a general who took the glory from a country-buying transaction worth $20,000.
    * We have 2 brothers who had irreconcilable differences.

    and last but not least,
    * we have a 1st president who's famous speech was: "I prefer a country run like hell by Filipinos to a country run like heaven by Americans" . now was that a compliment or not?

3.) do you think that our "107 years of independence" groomed us to be at par with the world's best-run countries? (107 - American Occupation - Jap Occupation = 60 years)

And compare us to some of the world's best:

    * The Japanese easily recovered from WW2. They had a very colorful past, hundred of years in the making -> Ninjas, Samurais, Feudal Lords, Emperors. They have a very strong sense of culture and respect for authority. They almost conquered the entire South Asian region. Had a taste of what's it like to be cooked inside an atom blast.

    * The Americans only 230 years in the making (since 1776). defeated the British conquerors with sheer courage, tactics and inferior weapons. foiled attempts to be conquered by neighboring latin american countries. had one great civil war that up to now brings sensitivity and guilt.

they lost a lot but had a taste of true success as well. what did we really lose, what were our achievements to be proud of?

explorer: my point is that there will always be corruption wherever you go, I don't like it at all but dahil lang dito civil war na gusto mo? Our country is (or was) moving forward whether you like or not, kahit mabagal lang, basta paabante.

and the point of having a civil war is to IMPROVE the situation afterwards if there is a desperate need for it, kung gusto mo madami mamatay kung ngayon wala naman direct threat na mamatay mga family and friends mo, that's the most stupid of all

People are expecting immediate change (as in overnight, within a year or so) but are not willing to make the sacrifice of having someone having total control of what can be done...

Galing, that makes soooo much sense...

for centuries people keep blaming the govt, ousted the govt, and changed the govt... but what happened? hindi kaya time na para aminin na ang mga tao talaga ang may kasalanan at wala sa govt yan at nasa tao yan...
