    Arroyo getting worse, doctors say

MANILA, Philippines—The health condition of former President and Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo continues to deteriorate because of recurrent dysphagia, or difficulty in swallowing solid food, her doctors said.

In a March 5 medical update, Arroyo’s doctors at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) reported that the detained former leader continues to lose weight because of poor appetite.

The medical bulletin, signed by Dr. Martha Nucum, the chief of the VMMC’s Medical Professional Staff who heads Arroyo’s medical team, was submitted last Monday to the Sandiganbayan 1st Division by defense lawyer Modesto Ticman.

Arroyo has been confined at the VMMC where she has been on hospital arrest on plunder charges following three major cervical spine operations at the St. Luke’s Medical Center in October 2011.

Her present diagnosis is “cervical spondylotic radiculopathy, degenerative lumbar spine disease, and postcervical spine decompression with instrumentation.”

    Justice delayed.

How many years has she been in jail, already, and with no resolution or true movement to her trial?

Ano ba yan, tatabunan lang ng tatabunan ng bagong issue, so they can simply hold her indefinitely against a trial they might possibly lose?

Complete BS. It's not a victory without a conviction.

    Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

Justice in this country is a big cruel joke.

no, it's a brilliant plan. she'll just wait for the next election. stay behind bars temporarily until the next presidential pardon, then boom! she's free to run again and bank in on the blind sympathy and partial amnesia of the electorate

these people when in trouble know how to utilise the wheelchair like voodoo. and the way they use hospital institution to dictate terms and condition is an art form

it's good business to invest in healthcare, just to cover all bases

Useless medical bulletin. Hope next time they would come up with a medical bulletin, should be something meaningful like,
she is fit to go to jail. How the heck her health is deteriorating when she is requesting to have her bday party in Pmapanga.
Madami daw aattend that veterans cannot accommodate the entire guest.

    Mike Velarde visits Gloria Arroyo

MANILA, Philippines—El Shaddai leader Mike Velarde on Wednesday visited former President now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo at the Veterans Memorial Medical Center.

Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, one of the counsels of Arroyo, said it was a personal visit saying the two knew each other for a very long time.

He said they talked about Arroyo’s mother who even told the El Shaddai leader to look after his daughter.

The two, he said, also prayed for Mrs. Arroyo’s health and that justice for the string of cases she is facing.

“She likes these kinds of visits. It uplifts her spirit,” he said.

The two also talked about the love story of Bro. Mike and his wife Belen. The two will celebrate their 30th anniversary this July.
Former Justice Secretary Agnes Devanadera, Atty. Larry Gabon and Dr. Antonio Calanoc also visited Mrs. Arroyo Wednesday.

It's the doctor who is getting worse here. How can they say she is getting worse when she just had a day 3 bday celebration? Is it not if one's health is deteriorating, the individual should be resting or bedridden. How the heck deteriorating is proven by 3 days of celebration and from the hundreds or thousand og guess, no one ever said that she is very sick???

Who ever is the doctor here should go back to medical school.
