This is very important since our brothers are fighting to lift the total gun ban proposed by the Anti Gun Movements...This movement promotes that only few don't agree of total gun and the rest stand on their side...

Let me put it this way, suppose that you purchase an inexpensive pistol for around Php 20k. Factor in the cost of familiarizing yourself with it and gaining proficiency with your firearm at the range by spending approximately Php 5-10k for range fees and practice rounds. That's around Php 30k.
Compare it with the cost of you or your loved ones getting seriously injured or almost killed by some random attacker or would-be robber or robbers which will put you in the hospital. That all amounts to doctor's fees, hospital fees, loss of income, not to mention your personal belongings which were taken from you --- all of which cost greater than the Php 30k you spent, that is if you live through the experience.
Then, factor in the incalculables like the amount of grief your loved ones will suffer should you become another fatality. In other word, its a life-changing event.
I think you see the point.Last edited by Altis6453; October 28th, 2010 at 10:29 AM.

October 29th, 2010 12:03 PM #432 sides naman lagi eh.. pero para sa akin.. wag ituloy ang total gun ban for the safety for those who already had experienced such cruelty of irresponsible people..

THAT IS SO STUPID!
Some people really don't have common sense... or they haven't experienced the worst to the point they need something for self preservation. They are living in fantasia.

November 9th, 2010 05:31 PM #48i guess it's all right if:
1. the gun wielder has the discipline. that he won't pull it out in a fit of anger.
2. he is properly trained in handling guns.
but then again, if you are a target of a gunman, do you think you will ever get the chance to pull your firearm out and shoot back at your gunman after your head gets a new orifice? so, what advantage does having a gun give you?
guns are designed to do only two things: to kill, and to intimidate.
i am in favor of total gun ban.

Since Gun Ban period end last Nov. 10, there are rumors circulating that PNP is planning to proposed another Gun Ban. Naging epektib daw kse yong previous Gun Ban set by Comelec to reduce the rate of gun related crime...Para nilang sinabi na ang mga responsible gun owner ay isa sa mga gumagawa ng mga gun related crime...
