    Wala naman yang babalikan dito, mga fresh grad nurses nga nagbabayad na sa hospital just to get their experience...

    There is just too many nurses, not enough demand. The nursing BUBBLE HAS POPPED.

    Jobs abroad will only get sparse. Not only will OFWs have to compete with workers from other third world countries like Indonesia and Sri Lanka, but also debt-burdened developed countries like Spain and Portugal. What prospects do these soon-to -be-unemployed? The only thing the student council can offer are courses in soap. peanut-butter, kikiam and pis ball making... or they can go abroad again and work as DHs.

    Ito ang sinasabi ko sa mga barkada ko na nag nursing dati pa. Nursing hindi pang long term career yan lalo na sa ibang bansa. Any time pag ayaw na nila ng ofw wala sila magagawa, at pag uwi nila dito walang company gusto mag hire ng nurse dahil iniisip nila mag aabroad anytime at nag apply lang habang wala pa offer sa kanya sa abroad.

    Yep I heard madaming discrimination against nursing graduates because many companies believe that they are not committed to stay very long and are just using the work (typically call center) as a stop gap after an offer abroad is given and all their paperworks are set...
