Someone's offering the go39 to me at Php4,000.00. I think this is his last stock na kasi. By the way, comparing it with the stock tires of my trooper which is the Bridgestone dueler HT, it is given a much higher rate (based on tire rack survey).

It would be difficult to gauge the tire's actual mileage on a used car from japan since they could have replaced the odometer. A safe guide is to base it on the tire's manufacturing date stamped on the tire sidewall, if more than 6 years old then time to replace.

Thanks for the inputs. Is this an ok buy for 4k each? Same lang naman ang HT and AT in terms of tire's durability di ba? I mean they're both 70 series tires naman. The main difference lang would be the grip right?

September 21st, 2005 04:20 PM #15Think HT would have better grip on paved roads. Check tread wear index on sidewall of Bstone vs Yoko- if about 300 or more then it's going to last as long. Price looks right too.

September 22nd, 2005 09:24 AM #16Sir, why not use Bridgestone Dueler AT D694 (Revo in the US). It has better reviews than HT tires . Tirerack review it at 9 out of 10. Road grip, ride quality, noise level is much better than highway tires. The tread is much better looking too.
Here is the Tirerack review for this tire:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....ler+A%2FT+Revo
Compare it to the review of Yokohama G039:
http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....dar+H%2FT+G039
Here is the site for D694:
http://www.bridgestone.com.au/tyres/...reads/d694.asp
By the way, this tire is readily available here in PH. Among highway tires the best right now according to Tirerack is: Bridgestone Dueler H/L Alenza http://www.tirerack.com/tires/survey...y.jsp?type=HAS
If you don't like At tires, try the GoodYear Fortera. It has much better review (top 10) than Yoko G039 (28th). The price is comparable to Yokos also readily available here in PH.

horexen,
i'm also under a tight budget kasi eh that's why i'm looking for a good ht brand nalang. Ganda nga sana ng Bdgestone revo at, it can also give me a bit of a rugged look.

Whew! Finally I got new tires installed on my trooper. From 245 70 16 I upgraded to 265 70 16. Ilang gabi ko din pinag-isipan to, but I finally decided to get the Bridgestone AT Revo or the 694. No. 1 siya sa mga ATs based on Tire Rack reviews. Sana lang hindi ako magsisi kasi may kamahalan.
