Anybody here tried this tire? My stock bridgestone HT is almost worn out and i need a new set for my trooper. Stock size is 245/70/r16 but someone is offering me a 255/70/r16 of the yokohama tires.
Is this a good brand in general? Wala bang horror stories ang yoko? Yung stock bridgestone ht kasi served me well but based on the reviews, this tire suck especially on wet conditions.
I'm kinda decided na on getting HT's in the meantime kasi I'll be travelling major highways for a year and I think its more practical (Bicol - Manila).
Please enlightn me or if you have other brands in mind please share your eperiences.
By the way, the yokos are tagged at 4000.00 each, 255/70/r16.

Hindi pa sure kung mananalo sa Altis eh. Bidding kasi. While I use the truck, mukhang delikado na kasi ang tires, baka hindi na safe. May project pa naman kami sa Bicol so I'll be travelling a lot.

September 20th, 2005 02:41 AM #4Yokos are great tires in general. Good tire life, wet traction.
Is the Yoko G039 a HT tire?

September 20th, 2005 09:26 AM #7G039 looks good. IMO, the 245/70R16 was small for the trooper, i found the odometer moved faster when compared to other cars, about a 3-4% diff. A larger tire will help correct this and give you better hiway mileage. A 255/70 is about 4% taller so just right for trooper's odo.

how much are the yokos? quality is at par with the best except that they used to be cheaper, now their prices are close to bridgestone, good ride and quiet-
If you will drive mostly in the metro, go automatic because of the stop-and-go traffic. If mostly...
