August 16th, 2006 12:09 PM #21rion, im not into AUVs eh... dont get me wrong, isuzu's diesel actually has a very good reputation but the resale value and noise of the isuzu diesel is just plain wrong...
Imo, all 2.5 except for imported Montero v6, medyo kulang talaga sila sa unang hatak, Subic o Local. but still acceptable for me.
myroon naman tayong M/T Pajero 2.5 local. peru medyo maingay lang sa loob, naririnig ko yung ingay ng makina compared to a subic A/T.
ano po ba ang itsura ng LC-90 prado? basta hindi yung box type. ok din yun.

PAJERO... i also do not agree to the comment that it is prone to break down. We still have our gen2 pajero and it never gave us headache.
pero mukhang you are leaning towards the Prado. good chioce na rin.

August 16th, 2006 11:05 PM #24After reading all your posts... I think i'll just choose between the gen 2.5 pajero or the 98' prado.
If this is the case then do you guys have an idea about the fuel consumption of these 2 SUVs? Balita ko ang pajero city driving 7 kms/li ; 10 kms/li hi-way... is this true? Coz if thats true then prados are more fuel efficient with 9 kms/li city driving...
And prados are more comfortable raw...

7km/L is probably the WORST the Pajero can do. It can also pull 9's in urban traffic just like the Prado.

For P850K budget for an SUV lookslike it's for a second hand SUV can fit into this budget. Maybe a good coverted 2.8 Subic Pajero can catter on this level or you can add a little more to get a brand new TUCSON 4X2 AT

walang brand new na suv diesel na halagang 850,000 pesos... pwede pa gawin mo pang downpayment sa banko autoloan, financing or through leasing...
otherwise just look for a secondhands... most probably vehicle comming from subic which is much cheaper...
anyway here are some diesel suv's to choose for:
toyota fortuner
land cruiser
bmw x5 3.0d
bmw x3 2.0d
ford everest
hyundai santa fe
hyundai tucson
isuzu alterra
kia sorento
pajero
montero sport
ssangyong rexton
nissan patrol
baka mayroon pa ako nakalimutan...

For 850K, the Pajero Fieldmaster 4x4 (1999-2000) is one the best buys.
But for a brand new unit, the cheapest diesel SUV that ou can get is the Everest 4x2 at around P1M.
Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
