Boy2,
ayos na ayos, di lang pang-PAMILYA, pang-SPORTS pa!
lc80,
ok lang maski street tires especially nowadays na hindi umuulan.
kim and others,
pwedeng balikan but you will have to drive yourself down from the peak.
and you will miss a lot. the sunrise, sunset, the coldness, etc.
for me, the trail is not that exciting. the 45 degree climb is similar to sacobia which i climbed twice. its the PLACE that you should enjoy!

other details:
Camp Site: -- The Hi-Peak has camping ground only; i.e. -- grassy
ground surrounded by pine trees. There is a fresh water spring near the
caretaker's house / parking area at the end of the trail. We have the option
to camp near the vehicles or at the summit of Hi-Peak (after a 1 hour hike).
The area is not populated, so don't expect to hire a cook for your meals, or
a porter / guide to go to the summit.
Food: -- Bring your own food, drinking water, ice, cooler, etc. for
breakfast, lunch, dinned, tea and snacks; including your own cooking and
eating utensils. Don't forget the garbage bag. Bring pre-cooked meals, or
cook it yourself.
Things to Bring: -- Land Rover or 4x4 vehicle, duplicate car keys, tire
gauge, tools, spare parts, recovery equipment, tow strap, shackles, hi-lift
jack, shovel, pick, axe / saw, thick lumber for your jack's base on soft
terrain, 2-way radio (e.g. Motorola Talk-About), Global Positioning System
(GPS); Satellite Phone; camping equipment, tent, sleeping bag, food, warm
clothing and shelter for 2 days & 1 overnight, boots, raincoat, towel, first
aid kit, personal medicine, plus lots of patience and sense of adventure...
Weather: -- The weather is expected to be clear to cloudy. At an elevation of
approximately 6,000 feet, expect the night time temperature to be colder than
Baguio City around the 10 degrees Celsius.
Expenses: -- We will split the trail clearing expense; last year it was
Php2,250 total. With around 30 participants; it will cost Php75/head.
Other reminders: -- Review your vehicle's Owner's Manual and 4WD driving
books; Service your vehicle to ensure road and trail worthiness; Install
wading plugs, if applicable, before the trip (although there are no water
crossings to Hi-Peak); Check tire condition and pressure; Remove mud flaps,
spoilers, and low mounted auxiliary lights; Secure battery in its bracket;
lower antenna; secure cargo; Eat breakfast before the trip; Remove your step
boards or folding steps; Set your 2-way radio (e.g. Motorola Talk-About) to
Channel 5, Sub-Channel 0 (462.6625Mhz). alternate is Channel 6, Sub-Channel
0. Please identify your Rover Buddy. In the unlikely event of a mechanical
breakdown, your Buddy (not the entire convoy) will be required to assist you
with the problem.
Safety is a concern; so, no alcohol please for drivers. Fuel, tire vulcanizing
and air are available at Palauig. Load fuel BEFORE the Drivers' Briefing and
BE ON TIME.
Expect this event to be a great photo opportunity, so wear your Land Rover,
LRClub or Camel Trophy shirts, caps and bring your camera / videocam. If we
can get someone to take slide photos and do the write-up of the event, we
can submit an article and the photos for publication in LROI.
Finally, the Club does not assume responsibility for any injury or losses.
Please confirm your cellphone number and provide the name and contact
information of the person to contact in case of an emergency.
Ungas,
i suggest makipag communicate ka kaagad kay Phil G.

So far only 1 vehicle has confirmed.
For me, it's still 50-50 chance that I'll be going. (because of that darn hiking again!)
And a good excuse is I have insufficient hardwares for camping. :D
