Diesel peeps,
Sino sa inyo ang nagpakabit na ng turbo boost controller (manual or electronic) sa rides ninyo? Can you share your experience? I read in one forum that it shortens the lifespan of the engine. Totoo ba ito? Plano ko sanang kabitan Strada ko.
Thank you very much. :D
Merry Christmas! :D

December 24th, 2002 04:44 AM #3unless its upgrading your engine internals, just about every single performance mod shortens the life of your engine. the key here is keeping that additional wear within acceptable limits. a boost controller will not mean your engine will die in a few weeks. unless of course you set it too high and overboost.
that said, it's a pretty good way to get more hp out of a turbocharged engine. since your ride is turbo from stock, the ecu should be able to compensate with fuel for added boost. perfect mod yang boost control and you won't need a fuel regulator (unless you're going for really high boost).
alternatively, try playing with the wastegate actuator rod. you might be able to get your desired effect for much less money.

December 24th, 2002 06:26 AM #4try putting some washers to stiffen the wastegate springs, or maybe get a stiffer spring if possible. You can make ur own manual boostcontroller, or use this one. greedy profec b boost controller, meron syang setting na high & low so pwede kang naka low boost or with just the push of a button you can go high boost, better get a boost gauge, egt gauge, does the strada has a protection for overboosting?, better find this out before getting higher boost, know how much rate is ur fpr.

Meron dude basta ang bumper mo ay hindi iyong sa new 2003 model na walang slot underneath the front signal/park lights:D. You can find it in several shops in Banawe (Gatorcab, Goldcars, etc..). Pangit nga lang ang switch. Try buying the foglight switch from the Adventure and your OEM foglight is complete. Swak nga pala foglights sa slot sa bumper. Essus ang brand. Goodluck.
