August 2nd, 2003 05:21 PM #1oks ba mga pajero's or hi lux sa subic or better yet the safety of the conversions (RHD to LHD)?
if i got one, what are the things that i have to replace considering na "hinang" lang ang mga conversions

August 2nd, 2003 05:52 PM #2usually ang convertion is the main question diyan (gear box), have it check pa rin sa iyong suking talyer,
check under the dashboard, nowaday brand new ang mga dashboards so tago ang ilalim, halos minadali ang convertion.

I'd vouch for any 2nd hands units that are built locally or atleast not converted units.
But don't get me wrong, there are some surplus unit retailers that can be good or atleast I could say better than normal sellers. May kakilala ako they change the entire steering and dashboards into local ones. Ofcourse this will cost a little more than the usual selling price.

Pajero Jr. Medyo mahirap ang piyesa. Better get a 3-door GEN II like Marwen.

August 3rd, 2003 12:37 AM #6own a hilux from subic, ok naman siya after I had the turbo repaired. Before I bought it, I ensure muna na hindi hinang ang ginawa, pinacheck ko sa gasolinahan near the buy and sell shop yung ilalim. Ok naman ang gear box, di nga lang orig na hilux kaso orig na left hand, pang crown ata kaya parang barko kung lumiko (next ipon - yun ang replace ko).
It's been 2 weeks already since the turbo has been repaired and I could say I'm smoke free sarap sya i-drive given na automatic siya and my average diesel consumption is quite ok than before.
Tyambahan lang talaga ang kuha.. IMHO, kahit siguro 2nd hand na local may risk din ... just triple check the unit that your buying before you pay..
just my 2 cents.

August 3rd, 2003 11:42 AM #7hav a big horn/trooper. bought it as a 2nd car for my wife. pareho tayo ng concerns, so i carefully checked it. bought it direct and alloted 100k for problems. as of now wala pa akong major problems. had the timing belt replaced and all the suspensions checked and bearings repacked. 1 cv boot replaced. A/C cleaned and recharge the freon. dashboard not so nice so this is my next project. 5-6 km/liter ako coz 3.1 TDi engine. happy with my purchase. brought it to Ilocos and Baguio already. No problem at all. kung mahilig kang magkalikot and hindi araw araw ginagamit go for it basta check it properly.
HTH!

Be careful with channels like "China Observer" on YouTube. There is a clear bias in their posts and...
