    thanks guys!

nag utility box na lang ako sa likod. talagang di kakayanin ng budget ko yun 25k+na rolltop ng carryboy. nagtaas nanaman daw sila ng prices. magtyatyaga na lang ako sa pag scrub hehehe. kainis yun alikabok - lalo na pag umulan ... i really digs into the rubber bedliner.

anyway, I think i'm gonna enjoy the u-box... I've been itching to move alot of stuff in the u-box coz it gets really noisy when the tools, flashlight, rope and hinges, and the jack clunk under the rear seats. matagtag pa naman yun pickup and i hate yun squeaky sounds hehehe.

Meron na bang water leak around those seals?

Tsaka isabay ko na rin kung pano magkakaroon ng cargo hooks outside the body like the old pick-up beds used to have?

may nakita ako, fabricated na mga stainless round bars, about 1 and 1/2 inch dia., naka bolt on on top sa side ng pickup.

    neat looking.

naka angat sya by about 3 inches (para may space pag turn ng nuts). the gap serves as tie down hooks na rin.

    correction sa earlier post:

yong roundbars are mounted like railings sa viaduct/flyover sa topside ng pickup bed.. about 1 and 1/2 inch ang clearance.

    tailgate is left untouched.

Sa Mitsubishi pick ups na walang external tie-downs, they supply you with clamp on tie-downs. It clamps on to the top of the bed sides with the hook facing outwards. Though very few owners actually used them and Mitsubishi stopped giving them away na yata.

    Five on each side yata.

These are nice, removable for bulk hauling soft covers I saw on the net:

    http://www.extang.com/
    http://www.accesscover.com/Products/Access.asp

Both brands ata don't require drilling on the pickup bed with frame/bow supports and adjustable studs to suit different climates.

Been looking for a similar one for my crew cab pickup but wala ata sa local market natin...? Recall seeing one (ala extang blackmax with snaps on the sides) on a strada and boy, it looks very clean and nice!

That's the same link I posted from page 3. I wonder if anyone knows who's the local dealer for those covers?

Snap buttons could be nice, but how well is the security?

May built-in drainage naman kasama. Yun mga parang trapal kasi walang lock and pwede sirain agad

Anyway that is pressurized water trying to penetrate in.

Kasya kaya yung pang Sport Trac sa Hilux bed?

    RE: hard cover tonneau

Its been several years na rin since the first post. Water seepage and durability seemed to be the problems encountered.

Can we have an update on the newer models available in the market today?

    Contemplating on this types...

    sino may gusto?
Maganda nga sir. Malinis pagkagawa.
But I would consider this if efforts to find a retractable lid would proved futile.
