Good morning...sorry kakagising ko lang...yup the P300K is an estimate ng mga bayarin when the goods arrive at the port of subic until mailabas iyun...he did not elaborate...but I would assume it would be on this breakdown:

    1) Fee niya - P50K
    2) Typical broker fee - around P50K din
    3) Registrations, Duties, etc - the remaining balance P200K

As you could see 1 & 2 could probably be negotiated but the 3 will probably not be negotiable because these amount goes to the inspector and government.

These were estimates for a 3-5year old model SUVs...perhaps an older SUV (say 5-10year old model) will have a lower tax value.

Now the catch is if you could find a very cheap or cheaper SUV around there then you could get it for less. Don't rush things out if I were you.

A typical cost of refreight from Europe to Philippines runs around US$25-40 per metric ton. A 40FCL will probably weigh around 30-40 Mton. So my estimate is that it would cost you about US$1,600 in freight cost pa.

Yes, it would be best na magkausap muna kayo before proceeding with the transaction and get to know the full details. He have previously imported SUVs from KSA/Dubai so he would know how to get things done.

    My two cents.
