Ako naman, gusto ko 4M41 sa Pajero ko ngayon! :evillaugh
Parang mahina HP ratings ng outlander.... 140 lang, pero hanef sa torque! For sure laklak sa gasolina yan.
I doubt if HOnda will ever bring the 2.4L engine for the CRV. Maybe in a couple of years, pag nag slowdown na sales ng CRV, but not now.

3.2 turbo diesel - a formidable opponent to isuzu's 4jx1.
3.8 v6 - eto n b yung GDI? wow! 215 HP!
outlander
- mitsu's entry to the mini-suv market, a little down on power & torque. looks cool though.
escape
3.0 v6 at only 1.3m? hmmmm sounds good. i wonder whats the fuel mileage of this one. considering the 2.0l zetec is a bit thirsty on fuel
crv 4X4
basically the same ol' gen2 plus the realtime 4wd system & a few aesthetic enhancements. i though they were bringing in the K24 engine. i wonder if the ride is better the 1st version

the 200 hp 3.0L V6 pole-vaults the Escape to the top of the compact SUV heap, imo, addressing the most significant shortcoming of the 2.0L Escape. with the Escape now boasting 200 hp, and the X-Trail not far behind with 180, i am confident that Honda will put the 160 hp K24 into its CR-V (and Accord), and Toyota will make a 165 hp 2.4L available in the RAV4 as per current USDM specs.
the new CR-V represents great value, again addressing the most glaring deficiencies of the previous one: a subpar interior and a harsh ride.
the Pajero has outpriced itself from the general market (probably, as all large SUVs would). at that price range where buyers likely wouldn't be counting anymore, the LC120 Toyota Prado or even LC100 Land Cruiser would be a better choice even at 3 or 3+ million.
so this is the beginning of the end for mainstream large SUVs.
