connected ba si bluegirl w/ Shell?
im glad to read all your good feedbacks about shell diesoline ultra..about the specs?no comment..![]()
Ano na ba ang legislation sa Pinas ngayon? Seems like nobody knows for sure. Sad news is, yung 0.05% (or 500 parts per million) sulphur diesel is old news sa ibang bansa.
Even in neighboring countries like Singapore, 15 ppm na ang standard. That's 0.0015% which is a far cry from the 0.3% na ginagamit ng mga public transpo vehicles and the 0.05% that shell is so proud of sa diesoline ultra nila.
Ack, only 500ppm? Does that mean that despite the improvement, the new Diesoline Ultra is not yet good enough even for a "measly" Euro-III rating? Other countries are already using up to Euro-IV or higher right?Originally Posted by kevinp
ang lam ko yung 0.05% sulfur PNS(Phil.National Standard) yan..i can not give you the exact number but shell diesoline ultra has lower count than that..also the cetane index of 50min is PNS also..so petron, shell and caltex has higher value for that..
I have been using seaoil diesel with 2% bioexceed blend for 1 year now. satisfied naman ako hanggang sa naubusan ako last week and timing na malapit sa shell station, I decided to fill up my tank with diesoline ultra. Whoa!! what a surprise, I noticed that my engine is quieter and it runs smoother even without biodiesel. I didn't know that shell has a new formulation for their diesel fuel, I really felt the difference. I don't know about the improved fuel economy but I guess mas tipid rin siya. Will post the fuel efficiency results when I fill up again.
parang iba naman yung sa akin =(
was previously using petron and was happy with it. nung nag-full tank ako ng shell, parang ang gaspang nung takbo and kulang sa hatak. when i refilled a few days ago with petron, ok na uli.
Been using Shell Diesoline Ultra since one month after i got my ride... No problem so far with my Innnova with respect to engine....
WBR,
seems ok but consumption ko w/ shell isn't as good as biodiesel mix...nissan safari manual, 6.5-7km/l city shell; 7-7.5km/l BD mix
I guess I have to focus filling up Shell for 4 straight full refills to feel the difference.
Kasi what I do now is every week I do full refill... first 3 weeks of the month Petron, and 4th week Shell. Based on that scenario, mejo mas mahina hatak ng Shell Diesoline.
OT: I've always wanted to try Caltex. Is it good?
me Shell and Caltex, but for now i concentrate using Shell for a month so that I can see the difference.
been using caltex power diesel for months now after months of using shell and petron (both for about 4 months each. for me, caltex among the three because it has the highest cetane rating at 52%. petron d-max and shell diesoline ultra both has 50% but i'll give another shot at shell diesoline ultra(new daw eh) for about 3 months to see if there would be any difference.
i've been using Caltex power diesel for more than a month and a half on my fuego averaging 9-9.2km/ltr city driving. yesterday (after reading this thread last week) i filled up my tank with almost 50 ltrs of Shell diesoline ultra. parang may difference kaagad sa hatak, mas mabilis ang acceleration ngayon and noticeably, mas smooth yung menor at idle nya. i hope this will continue to be so at hindi ko lang ini-imagine. hoping also that it will translate to better mileage per liter... will give updates on my next full tank.
updates lang... nag-improve ng konti yung consumption ko from 9.2 to about 9.3km/ltr and this from almost 300km distance measured. yung hatak at smoothness ng engine (compared to before) ay mas okay din. however, since nabasa ko yung thread tungkol sa biodiesel, i'm going to give it a try also. i'll be getting my BD this afternoon and will try the initial 5% blend. hope i'll also get favorable results. btw, BD here in Negros is sold at P120/ltr Senbel.
