Is it advisable to buy a luxury SUV?
X5, XC90, RX330, FX35? ($40K + range)
Or mas practical dun sa mga main stream lang na SUV ( $ -35K range)
Pilot, Highlander, Pathfinder, Murano (not the current ones, I'll wait for the next model change)
Just contemplating, maybe might upgrade in 1-2 yrs time.

probably not practical, but you can definitely see what you pay the extra $5-10k for in terms of features, performance etc.

depends on what you prefer. if you could afford it then why not? after all, we are all entitled to some luxuries in life.

here is how my wife and i justified $5000 extra on a (entry) luxury vehicle. compared to our 2nd choice we got:
more safety features (i.e. side, curtain airbags, traction and stability control)
more power (65 hp more, 30 lb ft more)
more power features and memory settings (tilt and telescoping steering section)
better general reliability (either first or second on consumer reports)
better dealer service (rated higher than other luxury dealers)
others (rear tint, bigger wheels, adjustable hid, dual chrome and tuned exhaust, better leather,...)
lastly, the price fell within our budget

X5 is okay, dream car ko yan b4

If you can afford it... why not? You'll only pass through this world only once, might as well make the most out of it.
I would love to have the X5!!! But if you have a big family and need space, the XC90 is a more "practical" choice.
