    Good to hear that!!!

    Take tons of pictures nalang para sa aming di makakasama... :wink:

    Ingats at baka matuka kayo ng ahas dun! :lol:

    Kupaloids,

    Sa susunod, dalhin mo si Nikki sa Pagudpud, medyo hawig kasi yong sand doon sa half moon beach. Pati slope, yong biglang lalim. Babalik uli kami doon this 4-day break, long drive na naman, at as usual, lone driver. Just a warning, never go there na walang kasamang tsik, patay ka sa inggit, pag nakita mo yong mga turistang taiwanese kung paano mag-lampungan.
    Isipin mo na lang kung bakit yong taiwanese girl eh same dress, ng makita ko sa dinner, breakfast, lunch at dinner uli, breakfast...

    Dakila7,

    talagang nakakainis noong una, dahil yong mga lispu, pa-importante. Buti na lang, wala na sila sa limelight ngayon, di na kasi kailangan ang mga letseng stencil at kung ano ano pa, just prepare photocopies of OR and CR, about 6 at least, and you're ready to roll on. Anim, dahil isa sa gate, sa arastre, sa ferry, at pabalik ganoon din.

    Kupaloids,

    dahil parating nasa kwarto pagkatapos ng meal (iba kasi dating pag sinabi kong kumain) :lol:

    elo folks, sali na din ako dito ha... joining you thru this post.

    about the topic, eto mga longest drive experiences ko in terms of distance and time;
    1st experience (longest time):
    1998 - using my tatay's beaten up 79' corolla -
    -departed w/ my bro around 5:30AM from Cainta going to Luisiana, Laguna via Tanay. pickup namin yung wife ng bro ko.
    - then from there, drive to Tanza Cavite via Los Banos, then SLEX, exit sa Carmona. so naikot namin Laguna Province.
    - from Tanza, Cavite - drive back to Cainta via Aguinaldo Hiway, Roxas Bld. - Manila - Cubao route. arrived home around 11PM same day. more than 15 hours on the road. nalibot ko laguna, Cavite and Metro manila. nilagnat ako kinabukasan... alang aircon yung car ng tatay ko e :shock:

    2nd experience (longest distance); - again using my tatay's beaten up but trusty corolla;
    1999 from cainta - to cabanatuan then to Muñoz Nueva Ecija (lampas ng Talavera) then back to Cabanatuan, then back to Muñoz again then finally went back to Cainta. logged more than 600 kms in travel distance. longest driving distance I did so far over 24 hours. (400 kms lang yung first experience ko). Bilib din ako sa corolla nung tatay ko. humahataw pa at that time. pero ngayon ala na, last I heard nabali daw yung piston rod so he sold it na lang, mahal ipa overhaul.

    Me plano sana ako to go to Tuguegarrao Cagayan via Nueva Ecija/Viscaya. May officemate ako taga don e. then go back to Manila via Ilocos norte/Sur going down thru La Union etc. para maka tour of Northern Luzon naman ako. Endurance test na rin, both of my car and myself. ano bang tips and preparations (aside from map, compass, lots of food, water and extra carboy of fuel maybe) for this kind of a trip? san maganda stopovers/routes? I'm giving myself 3-4 days for this trip. shempre dapat may kasama. at least 3 or 4 man lang kami.

    In one sitting non-stop, 300+kms. This was from Polomolok , South Cotobato up to North Cotobato, then to Isulan in Sultan Kudarat, then back down to Polomolok.

    On a road trip, 1300++ km. This was from Manila to up north around Ilocos Norte (Pagudpud) and Ilocos Sur, then to Baguio.

    Sa traffic, 7 hours. Christmas day sa may Novaliches (i got lost and ended up in Bulacan as well).

    i go home to baguio mga once a month. most of the time i'm driving, i don't make any stops at all. 5 to 6 hrs lang naman byahe.

    pinakamahaba ko na ako lang mag isa nag drive ay papuntang pagudpud. 11 hrs driving, i made only 1 stop to eat and pee, sa san fernando, la union.

    pero nakapag "tour of luzon" na ako with friends. we covered all the provinces of the island in 1 week, stopping at some popular tourist destinations like the rice terraces, hundred islands, subic, anilao, mayon volcano, etc.

    Sights to see in samar -- sohoton cave, and a white beach in marabut, which based sa book, they have a tie-up with Letey park hotel.

    Summer is the best time to cross Samar, dahil hindi maalon sa San Bernardino Strait (not that so in December, medyo unforgiving sa mga firstimer sa ferry). As for me, next to cross is the island of Cebu and Negros, am still inquiring about ferry schedules on those islands.

    I suggest you get this EZ MAP Phil. Road Atlas and Stopover Guide both Luzon and Visayas Edition. Eto rin lang ang guide ko when I went to Pagudpud. What I did, was, list down on a spreadsheet, the towns am supposed to pass and its distance, along with gas stations.

    Goodluck and have a nice trip.

    Alabang - Bacnotan, La Union = around 8 hours (with pit stops and a little waiting for the rest of the convoy)

    La Union - Alabang = same trip, on the way back naman. Around 10 hours (more pitstops and a trip to Pangasinan to eat Bonuan bangus) :lol:

    Trece Martires to Carmona (during the Makro sale-1997) 8 hours. This usually less than 20 minutes during. Longest driving, but not distance. (Ride Corall '94)

    Manila to Laoag City, via Dalton pass-Nueva Vizcaya-Isabela-Tuegegarao-Pagudpud-Laoag - 23 hours with several stop overs. (Ride Corolla '94) I have to take this route because the bridge in Banauang has fallen due to storm. Logs are taken off to the river and hit one-24-ft span of the bridge.

    master 20vanda01;
    ok ba roads from Tuegegarao to Pagudpud/Laoag? nagpaplano kasi ako ng northern luzon drive this coming december, with some of my officemates. ang balak naming route, yung route na dinaanan mo. manila - exit san simon, bulacan, then nueva ecija/viscaya, isabela, stop-over Tuguegarao. tapos onwards to Ilocos norte via claveria, pagudpud. then back to central luzon, via ilocos sur, stop-over la union... from there, bahala na kung daan pa ng baguio. Sabi dun sa UTP tourist map, meron daw rough roads from Tuguegarao to Pagudpud.

    rsnald, nung dumaan ako dun that was a year ago, hindi na ako ulit nakadaan dahil masyadong malayo para sa akin kung umuuwi kami ng Laoag. I can't speak of the road conditions on the Isabela-Tuegegarao-route. Tuegegarao to Laoag is ok. Laoag to La Union route, road is ok, although La Union stretch is not that smooth dahil cemented road na maraming tapal na asphalt, pero p'wede pa ring 90+kph ang takbo.
    Happy Driving!
    and
    Safe Driving.
