Get both rear tires off the ground. Put car in neutral and release handbrake. Rotate one tire. If tire on the other side rotates in same direction, LSD yan.

For Pajeros, there is also a big orange tag at the door jamb when the driver's door is open.

Wildthing di ako bilib LSD...nung nagpunta kami Sagada na stuck ako sa putik. Medyo napadiin apak ko lalong bumaon...had to engage the 4wd to get out. Dapat ata lockers.

was browsing sites about LSD's...most of them say that you still slip....you just take longer to slip compared to normal diffs.

lockers are better than lsd's but lsd is better than nothing. to get the best of lsd you must know how to use it. preload it and fool it to make it effective. spinning the tires too much or pressing the gas too hard will render the lsd useless. those OEM lsd for that matter. you must learn how to use the parking brake for vehicles with rear lsd and parking brake in the rear brakes.

Preload using the handbrakes is a commonly used (and quite clever) technique.

Parang Php 90.00 lang ang ordinary gear oil. Tapos a hundred or so ang LSD additive. Tama ba?

Php 91.00 ang gear oil #90 ng Petron. Php 130.00 naman ang gear oil additive for LSD, nalimutan ko yung brand.

Nagtanong ako ng LiquiMoly gear oil last week Php 350.00/liter.

Limited slip gear oils are more expensive vs ordinary 90 oils. A LSD oil is not the same as a GL5 gear oil.
The few available are: (approx prices)
    Mobil LSA90 P290/L
    Castrol Hypoy LS90 P350/L
    Caltex LSD90 P250/L
    Mobil 1 Synth gear oil 75w90 P600/L

If your vehicle is mostly driven on city ang highways, better follow what the manual says. But if the vehicle encounters flood/river crossings frequently, drain and change after every travel.

Kung sa LC80 and/or LC100, may LSD ang rear diff kung ang axle code niya ay either K293 or K295. Kung sa LC Prado naman, A05A.

    Guys,

By 20k KM kailangan ko nanaman magpalit ng LSD Oil as per Isuzu. Ano kaya pwedeng isubsitute? Since they say ok lang daw ibang brand as long as same grade. It will not affect warranty daw. Dont want to buy the LSD oil of ISUZU that is overcharged. Need your advise on these.

Btw it is for Trooper 02 thanks.

    mdpo,

If you live near Alabang, doon sa may ATC Auto Circle meron shop na maraming LSD oil brand. Most of the ones mentioned in this thread. Kaya lang hindi ganon presyo. Also ang bilis nang change oil, sobrang tagal naman bago ka makabayad.
