how to measure t-bars?

this is my first post and i got a few questions hoping that someone can help me out :D
1)
im wondering is it possible to measure my torsion bars accurately without removing it? is so how will i do it? please do give me details im a newbie.
2)
why do l200 stradas have different torsion bars sizes? same model make and year... the after market t- bar as emailed to me has a measurement of 928mm roughly 3ft i measured my oems it was almost 5' (mi measured it dulo -dulo yung lagpas pa sa rubber thinking na may trad pa kasi na nagkakapit kaya dulo dulo ginawa ko is that right?
3) how do you place and order thru the net without being ripped off? i happend to browse a website they say that they accept western union money transfer. but how can i be sure that i will receive the material that i ordered after sending the money (ano ang panghahawakan ko?) coz i dont really know the company that im transacting with.

Balak mo ba talaga kumuha? Why opt for money transfer when you can order it locally? I have transacted some parts thru online but I make sure it is from a reliable site. Maraming referrals dapat from other individuals who have purchased from the site.

Kung purchased locally mas makakatipid ka pa sa custom duties & taxes, plus they could install it for you and further fine tune your suspension setup.

Measure length - from end to end of tb only, use mm. To make sure, you can also take down the bars and do a spline count.

But I can tell you exactly what you need - Gen. 1 Strada (Previous Model) 1,370mm length, 26 mm diameter. Gen. 2 Strada (Current Model) 1,365 mm and 27.5 mm diameter.

Per my records, the L200/Strada 4x4 never had a short 928 mm tb. That sounds like a Trooper or Mazda B Series bar measuring at 926 mm.

If you need these for a Gen 2 Strada, I got it in stock.

Kung malaking items papasok mo panigurado may customs duties and txes yan, mas mapapamahal ang parts. For US$100 nasa PhP1,800 yata ang tax, as per invoice price. Transact with the merchandiser clearly before making any payments. Shipment will have to depend on you whether you want it by ship courier or air freighted, ofcourse the latter will cost you more but guaranteed 3 days shipping.

Freeman - suspension boss po pala kayo... maybe you can give me a quoatation of all the parts with corresponding prices if its ok with you...
i would be happy w a 2" lift pref. 20mm sa front and 40mm sa rear
ive done some research of my own...i think the parts that i would need are:
1)torsion bars
2)add aleafs by rancho or leafsprings whichever would be available
3)greasable shackles
4) urethane bush kits
5) shocks
6) u bolts if add a leafs will be used
please do correct me if i am wrong and suggest if there are other parts that would be needed thanks

I can only help out now if your Strada is the current model.

Forget the add-a-leaf, it'll just harshen your ride.

1. Rear OME leaf springs with greasable shackles and poly bushes available (1 set only) at Carryboy Gatorcab Banawe. This kit was intended for the owner but he sold his Strada already. Negotiate for a good price.

2. TJM S2000 Torsion bars (Australian made not Indian) PHP 17,500 a pair installed.

3. Rancho RS9000X 5,800 each, Bilstein 5,500 each, TJM XGS Shocks 4,500 each.

Front wheel alignment required.

What about a wheel and tire upgrade? That usually follows a suspension upgrade.

Bakit mo ba gusto ng add-a-leaf? Anything personal or you just read the reviews over the net? So far, I haven't seen anyone yet who distributes add-a-leaf by Rancho. Maybe Freeman has an idea?

Meron add-a-leaf but from another company that's been selling around Banawe. Ang gamit nito para sa mga leaf springs na madalas kargahan ng mabibigat na bagay ang kani-kanilang sasakyan. Pero walang dagdag na lift, it does not even improve the handling when there's no load behind.

You may want to give Freeman a visit in his shop, para malaman mo ang tamang paraan to improve, lift, add cargo weight to your vehicle. Maraming paraan para makuha mo ng tama ang gusto mo mangyari sa sasakyan mo, and suspension tuning SHOULD be done in a right way or else you'd be just wasting hard earned money on something that is not that helpful to you & your ride.

if you really want to add a leaf, you can buy a new leaf sa mga auto supply and add one in your spring pack. just measure the length and width you want.

but if you insist on a rancho add a leaf, i can ask the distributor of rancho Jojo 4wheel center here in our place if there is one avail for your ride, or will ask him if who is his distributor there in manila.
