Emission Test

Paano ba yung sistema? May specific rpm ba then they measure? or banat lang? Yung sa Gas kasi, idling lang nung pina emission check ko yung isa kong oto. Sa diesel, is there a systematic way (guideline) on doing the testing?

They rev your engine above 3,000rpm then measure the determined K value. It will be repeated 6 times to get the average.

i just had my emission test yesterday.
lancer ang car ko at 4.5 daw ang passing mark pero ang reading ay 10.07 kaya bagsak syempre.
pero nuong nagprint na sila ng certification, passed ang nakalagay at ang reading ay 2.0 na?!! unbelievable!
no adjustment made in the carb pa.

basta yata nagbayad ka na ng P300 testing fee, pasado na maski hindi. anyway, favorable naman para sa akin kaya kinuha ko na rin.

sabi dun sa testing center, from 3000 to 4500 rpm daw ang kukunan ng test. i think they went up to 4000+ coz ive never heard my engine scream that loud!

Still walang usok. hanep! 7 year old diesel engine po yan, albeit overhauled last year ;)

test should be....
on diesel engines. must be purged not less than 6 times. the actual value will be the average of 4 consecutive results within the range of 0.25 /m... meaning that even if your values are all in the passing range but does not have a stabilized values (within the range 0f 0.25/m) the result "must" be failed... pagkakamali ng technician yan, paulit mo... also engine must be purged at 3,000 to 4,000 rpm.. 4,500 pa nga dapat, also to the descression of the technican, depends on the type of the engine/vechicle...

bakit yung crv ko nung pinatest ko, hindi na nila ni-rev? kinuha lang yung idling rpm, pero sinaksak parin yung probe sa muffler exhaust.

pasado pala yung crv.

Diesel lang kasi yung ini rev, yung gas idling lang.

first time ko pa emission testing 2 wks ago aug 15. .38 score matindi nga yung pag rev nila. ingay nung engine.

average was 0.14, lowest 0.10, highest 0.19

gulat yung nag test, naghanap tuloy ng catalytic converter sa ilalim.

We just had both our 10 year old Feroza and Toyota Tamaraw FX tested a week ago. Both pumasa. Basta alaga lang sa maintenance ay di ka mabibigo.

galing naman ng patrol mo wala man lang lumapit sa baba ng reading. maganda pala engine ng patrol sa environment. kamusta po yung trooper mo ilan ang score? may catlytic ang trooper ddiba?

PROMDIBOY, usually ang unang buga dapat mataas, gulat din ako sa unang reading 0.16!

yung trooper namin, average 0.50+, pero yung unang reading alam ko umabot ng 1.0+, almost 6 months palang nung na-test.
