    Mga peeps and Doc Diesel,

pumunta ako sa betan cebu kahapon pa check up, black smoker na kasi ride ko... so the technician together with Jonathan yung binigay na name ni DocDiesel sa akin na hanapin, tested it and indeed it really does emit a black smoke pag ni rev mo to 3K.

Jonathan advice me for injector cleaning daw muna and he quote me 1,200 for cleaning the injector of 4D56TI lahat na daw yun and hatid ko morning makuha ko na raw afternoon.

Is the price worth it for injector cleaning. Sulit ba pag nagpa cleaning ako less black smoke na ba ride ko.

    need your expert advices..

    thanks,

    marlon

    marwen,
If your car has done about 60k km or about 5yrs old then injector/ nozzle cleaning is worth it. Price you quoted sounds reasonable.

    marwen,
considering that there are a lot of calibration shops in cebu, though most of them aren't really that reliable. what we quoted you is what we believe a very reasonable price. you may be able to get a lower quote from other shops there but then, quality and reliability comes with a price.

we got supercat as one of our AAA clients. proof that our price, reliability, quality of work and parts not to mention integrity is one that can be relied on.

    Doc Diesel,

Nagpachechk up ako sa Betan Makati two weeks ago, ang diagnos nila injector cleaning, mga Php6000 daw ang aabutin. Yung ke Marwen ba me parts na papalitan?

    FrankDrebin,
I don't think may kasamang parts yung kay marwen na 1.2k lang. Yun namang sa iyo na 6k e I'm sure may nozzle tips na kasama. What's ur ride anyway?

Depende on kung ano yung napag usapan nila ni Jonathan, di sinama yung nozzle tip sa quote pending the full dismantle of the injectors. Kung during the dismantle e nakitang sobra na yung wear and tear then we would recommend to replace it, that would total more or less 6k like what you have. Ngayon kung medyo ok pa yung nozzle tip, we may only charge you for the labor which is 1.2k like yung kay marwen.

    Doc Diesel,

No nozzle is replaced coz it was already calibrated by Betan. I was only wondering why they estimated Php6000 for my injector and only Php1200 for Marwen? BTW, it is a MitsuL2000.

    Doc Diesel,

Injector Pump pala. Sorry. I thought you guys were pertaining about injector pumps not the nozzle calibration thingie.

Pero same Q's, bakit mas mura sa Betan Cebu?

doc diesel kayo pala authorized service center for zexel, one time there was a problem with my ride 4jb1t, casa told me to bring the car over to cebu to have it checked from bacolod. di nila ma diagnose, but the problem is solved already by the shops here. wow swerte pala kami sa labor cost dito mas mura.

    FrankDrebin,
kung 6k lang ang ginastos mo sa injection pump and not sa injectors [nozzles inside], then mura na nga yung sa iyo. Baka konti pa lang ang damaged parts inside the pump kaya 6k lang ang quote namin.

Labor costs namin across all branches are the same. Varying prices are on the parts since these would depend on the market.

I am also from Cebu, kababayan ni Marwen, where can I find your shop here in Cebu? Do you also provide repairs other than the fuel system and the engine? Underchassis? thanks... My ride is a pajero gen II

    Marwen

Have you been there? How was there service? Pwede sila katanaw sab sa 4wd system? I think I am having problems because the front wheel lights indicator just keeps on blinking....
Thanks... Hope we can see each other in the near future.....

If the front wheel icons keep on blinking, keep the vehicle in 4H for the meantime. Fulltime 4wd kasi ang default ng Pajero in case there is a fault in the system. Ganyan din ang problem ko ngayon. Mga 1 year na ko sa fulltime 4wd mode (same as RAV4 ang effect ng 4H).

Malamang may vacum leak ka or switch problem.

    Otep,

Thanks.. So when I set it to 4h all the time will it solve the blinking problem? Has it solved yours ? Btw, while it was in blinking mode, was 4wd system working? Will my gas consumption increase if I will be in 4wd mode?

    gregg_g,
The Pajero is designed from the onset to be used as a fulltime 4wd vehicle. The 2H setting essentially 'forces' the vehicle into 2wd by using vacum pressure.

Should anything fail, the vehicle will automatically return to 4wd mode. This is so in case the system fails off-road.

Setting it to 4H won't solve the problem. It will just avoid other problems that may arise. In 4H, the system won't try to force itself into 2wd and will therefore be in its 'resting' position. You will not have problems with partial axle disengagements which can cause exessive noise and ruin the front axle.

According to Mitsubishi, the penalty for being in fulltime 4wd mode is from 2% - 5% of your fuel economy.

I'm going to have my front axle fixed when I have the time and budget for it.

    frt,
Saan ang CWI? I might need a vacum switch myself. Baka may speedometer sensor din sila doon. Surplus ba yan o bago?
