    sir 4JGtootsie ang hirap po maghanap ng manual trooper d2 samin. kung meron man manual, lotus model naman ung older versions at boxtype dashboard which i really dont like. yong 3.1cc na bighorn plaisir ay 4JG2-TC equipped ba? ang alam ko ay ung 3.0cc engines ng mga trooper have injector prone problems (pls forgive me for my ignorance ) kung makahanap lang ako ng 3.1cc bighorn plaisir model which is in manual trans ay kukunin ko na agad kahit 600k pa. pag ma enlighten ko sana yong dad ko na a/t nalnag sana kunin nya eh tapos na sana ang paghahanp ko. takot kasi sya dahil ung mga local troopers sa company nila ay halos lahat ang daming sira at ung iba ay sa kalakihan ng maintenance eh d nalang ginagamit at nakadapa nalang sa garahe. aside from injector probs of the trooper, madalas din ba ung transmission problems nila? takot ung erpats ko masira ung automatic trans.

    Iba talaga pag tinoyo ang A/T ng 4jg2 at ang hirap ng parts. Never lumabas locally dito kaya mahirap mag source at mahal.
    Yung tiningnan ko kanina na 98 model bagsak sa rating ko dahil ang daming pinaglalagay na hindi naman dapat nakalagay may mga kulang pa na mga accesories. May mga butas pa sa console dahil sa mga borloloy. Hindi ko i recommend sa iyo, sayang biyahe ninyo.

    The 600th trooper was really nice and priced at a bargain. M/T Strong engine and really fast pero baka sumakit ulo ninyo later sa injector.

    Sa paghanap ng trooper you have to be pateint. Maraming variations from gas and diesel, X1 and G2, manual and a/t and subic and local. In my opinion you stick to the simplest which is local G2 manual diesel.

    PM kita pag may nakita akong magandang unit. Text mo ako pag may gusto kang patingnan dito sa Manila.

    sorry it took so long for me to post back here. nakakuha na kami ng xwind xto. d na kasi makapagintay erpats ko. mahirap talaga d2 samin maghanap na bighorn plaisir m/t kaya aun kinuha nalang namin ung 02 xwind xto apple green (limted edition daw). sana walang problema ung nakuha namin at it will serve its purpose at walang sakit sa ulo. hehe thanks sir 4JGtootsie and to all those who help me in this thread. someday pag may makita akong plaisir na manual d2, baka e trade ko ung xto hehe.

    sir 4JGtootsie may nakita akong plaisir m/t sa autolink.ph. try to browse their ads under isuzu and if you have time, baka gusto mo yong tingnan at pag nakita mo na sabihin mo sakin kung ano masasabi mo.

    singit... jdm owner ako din, pero sa vans ako,e.. for me lang, kung trooper din lang po hanap nyu, local nalang, mas malaman/loaded pa an local kaysa sa imported--may headlight wipers ang local, JDM wala!i agree na iwasan mo ang mga 4jx1(sa badge nakalagay 3.0) un ang nagpasira ng image ng trooper sa atin.. alam ko nga din 1999 ang last 4gj2 na trooper dito, rear side-facing seats likot not front face katulad sa jdm-->easily remedyo to! an indicator na di 4jx1 are:

    3.1-ang badge sa likod, pag bukas mo ng hood, walang DOHC nanakalagay at medyo maingay ang lakatak(isuzu trade-mark-->for me)

    pag kumuha ka ng local, mostlikely mamimiss mo lang yung:

    "sunroof", TOD->torque-on-demand 4wd, a/t, sinasabi nilang "handling by lotus" which is malabo na mo mafeel kasi ng 10 year-old na yung sasakyan! at yung rear front facing seats...

    ang advantage ng having the local-->it is not converted, meaning lesser electrical worries, no steering conversion probs, a/c is completely functional(lahat ng position at cabin-heater gumagana), headlight washer, 10-seater kasi sa rear side facing seats, un nga lang 4gj2 troopers only come in manual...if you want matic, local SUV, just get the gen 2.5 pajero 1999-2000(last of the 4wds)

    patrol, have u considered it?(ung safari-->gamit ng psg ayaw mo, mas malaki at malakas yun, mas ok lalo pag local kukunin mo, yung 1995-97/98 model, may 2 cooler at rear front facing seats, at rear diff lock pa)

    alwayz_yummy yong 4gj2 ay 3.1cc ba? yon ba makina ng mga lotos at plaisir bighorns sa japan? badtrip ako gustong gusto ko talaga yong plaisir na m/t. ayon nakuha na namin yong XTO limited edition (apple green color). gustong gusto ko talaga yong bighorn plaisir specially yong kulay green/gray fenders yong walang sunroof. erpats ko kasi ndi makapagintay. kung cno sa inyo merong plaisir na m/t at gusto maki pag trade sa 02 XTO manual. pm me! ako mag handle sa shipping charges. yong makina ng XTO ay napakalinis parang bago at naka flexible exhaust na.

    yes sir the plaisir has a 4gj2 engine. but its matic. and it came from sta ana. its actually the car of our friend. it has awesome power. even for a matic. then theres the irmscher something. hehehe. it also has the same 4gj2 engine.

    im not so sure about the TOD and such. but both vehicles are nice. its 3.1L engine by the way.

    TOD = torque on demand if I'm not mistaken. Mga newer models eto. 96-up.
