btw having landcruiser, prado chassis are illegal, local chassis lang pinapayagan dito saten, if mount mo yung prado chassis without a local chassis number sa sasakyan na wrangler, at pinasa mo as local rebuilt, tampering kaso mo, mga prado chassis may chassis number yan. dyan nila malalaman kung chop chop sasakyan mo,

    wouie.

    Better ask AMC for clarification,

now if you allow people to import whole ladder underchassis and engines, what will stop them from looking for the same model cabin and attaching it to original chassis/engine/suspension and registering them as local/rebuilt vehicles? example. import ka whole patrol underchassis, chassis and engine, tas hanap ka dito imported din na patrol body.

of course legal gamiting ang prado chassis, as long as may locally registered na prado na, at kailangan lang i rebuild ang body.

hehhehe, ok, maybe kailangan mo i try yun and post later on kung legal nga ba or illegal.

if im not mistaken, pag local rebuilt its only for old cars, parang rebody at minor replacement, and hindi pwede palitan ang chassis.

yung AUV nakita mo baka yung donor vehicle is a registered vehicle sa LTO, bulok ang body at kailangan lang palita yung body

You can also get a Ssangyong Korando that's being sold in Subic auctions instead of putting together an assembled jeep. Most of them have a stock Isuzu C223 (2.2L) engine with 4x4 and manual hubs. Although you should stay away from the 2.5L diesel engine since I think it's based on a Peugeot engine and parts are hard to find for this engine. It's an original LHD and is also available with manual or power steering.

I have one and it's very cheap to run. Parts are easily available. I've restored mine and planned on using it as a daily driver unfortunately my kids don't like the ride and it's not as spacious as they would like. So I have no choice but to let it go. In case anyone's interested it's in the classified section.

    qman,

just wondering kung ano registro na wrangler mo? rebuilt ba? at paano yung orig chassis number? Hindi pwede burahin yun, at sa pagkakaalam ko mas lalo di pwede i register yun without being taxed heavily.

It is legal to get whole undercarriages and put bodies on them.

That is how AMC Hammers are born. Most are running on ex-JDM Nissan Patrol bones. Pero may sariling body number from AMC.
